Anonymous, 06 Sep 2018Benchmark results are like drag race performance of a car. ... moreWrong, it doesn't work that way at all, all benchmarks aim to simulate real-life workloads and most succeed to some degree.

Everybody been doing it for years, it is no surprises and most benchmarks are really exaggerating numbers and don't really represents anything except fancy scores. I like benchmarks like GeekBench or GfxBench which really pushes your cpu or gpu to it's limits and represents realistic capabilities of your hardware. And after all, I use benchmarks to compare with my older devices and see progress within them.

To everyone trying to defend Huawei - just don't.
They lie in order to sell more phones, and lots of their fans just talk about how much higher Huawei scores on benchmarks. So they were kinda ripped off.
Now Huawei says "it's real life experience that matters" and yesterday they used their fake numbers as selling points.
And they say "Competition does it too" - and since OnePlus did the same, it's safe to assume they think on other Chinese companies.
And Chinese companies bloomed on market recently, and who knows what else are they hiding...

Whackcar, 06 Sep 2018Good. Benchmarks are for nerds anyway. Nerds will always co... moreDon't forget user experience
That's what matter most, benchmark only relevant for the number, it doesn't really show real word performance and it expired as soon as new chip arrive
But overall user experience is what make phone relevant for years to come and let us keep our phone longer
I guess many of us don't want a phone that king in benchmark but absolutely crab in other aspect

Good. Benchmarks are for nerds anyway. Nerds will always complain if the benchmark score is not chart-topping.
Mature people care about real-world performance, and that's all that should matter.
