Wow! That is a truly ground breaking design. The Chinese must be trembling in their defeat. Not.

Assuming those pics are real, TC needs to go, and I don't care how much Apple is worth.

How about this phone is called iPhone XC? It’s accurate cuz, remember the 5C? It was a toned down phone that included more colors. It’s a pretty good name if you ask me

most ugliest phone I have ever seen looks like a Chinese knockoff

FinnishInquisition, 06 Sep 2018I agree with you in that regard. Apple has its ecosystem lo... moreYep. I think each OS adapts to each needs different kind of users have. I'm personally a heavy Android user but I like Apple Smartphone quality. They feel smooth and certainly look premium, but I just can't be lock down to such closed ecosystem. I also want to be able to have lots of different design options to choose from when I change my phone without needing to pay $900+ for a phone of the year, because I rather buy a ticket plain with that money, Heh.

Either way, there is people that really like the simplicity that iOs gives them, and the way their Mac, earbuds and iPads complement each other (I mean, if they invest that much money on those products, that's the least Apple can do!), and there is people who just love to heavily customize their phone and need them specialize it in one specific field (gaming, camera, power, battery). Android may not have such ecosystem but they can really be a trully expert in one main area with their smartphones if they want one, like the ones mention above.

That's the beauty of both worlds!

Apple is officially marking their 699$ phone as a mid ranger.

While stepping up the flagship price.

              From 649 to 799 and 999.

Aadrian, 06 Sep 2018800 euro for a 'cheap' iPhone. Get out of my face. My iPhon... moreLOL....Cheap iPhone is a real funny one

800 euro for a 'cheap' iPhone. Get out of my face. My iPhone 6 will be replaced with an android device with more features for just a fraction of that price. Bye bye Apple.

The red looks decent. This would be the one to get if I was interested in another iPhone.

Let's remember that this might cost only $700. Compromised with camera(s) but LCD should last longer than OLED. Apple also no longer uses Qualcomm. In a year, the prices could go up with 5G chips. The 6.1" iPhone might be the last "bargain."

I'd rather wait because USB-C and smaller notch should happen for the iPhone XI. Hoping Apple returns to metal or at least some brushed glass. Even matte ceramic would be nice. I hate glass rears. Apple is known for 4-year design cycles.

                    Gen 1 - 2G/3G/3Gs
                    Gen 2 - 4/4s/5/5s/5c/SE
                    Gen 3 - 6/6s/7/8
                    Gen 4 - X/Xs/?/?

Yes, the 4 and 5 series are part of the same design generation. The 5 feels like the completed version of the 4. Expect two more generations of a similar design to the X.

Apple just milks it by adding prettier colors and sometimes returning to a different material for the back. The iPhone X was really the guinea pig tick model ala 4/5/6 and being the first model of a 4-year design cycle.

Gen 1 - Metal to plastic
Gen 2 - Glass to metal
Gen 3 - Metal to glass
                    Gen 4 - Glass to...?

Expect a new, new design by 2021. Perhaps a return to a notch-less iPhone. Next year will still have it but smaller. Just wait for this stupid notch fad to go away.

Not to mention the quality and build quality invested in their devices. With the iPhone X, the bill of materials far exceeded that of their competitors. You get what you pay for.

Comparing The Huawei P20 Pro with the iPhone X is directly dishonest. The iPhone X has a much higher unit cost and has much better performance and technology. It's not even close. Not to mention that Huawei doesn't even need to pay for their OS, while Apple has a huge team of engineers that handle their OS.

What should surprise you is how expensive the Huawei is compared to what you get.

Apple has no use for anyone's personal data. Their whole business model is built with a user-centric focus, with privacy as the common denominator. What little data they gather to improve their services are broken into tiny pieces and fully anonymised before being sent away for analysis to prevent any ability to trace it back to someone.

To dismiss the demand for privacy is frankly idiotic. There's a reason Script- and Adblockers are commonplace, GDPR has been put into place around the globe, Apple products are in high demand in businesses that require privacy, people use VPN's and switch over from Google to DuckDuckGo and similar services.

If you wouldn't print every detail of your private life and hand it over to a stranger on the road, don't do it on your computer or phone either.
