[Updated: not really] Sony confirms that the Xperia XZ3 is 5G ready

To all the people questionning how the XZ3 is 5G ready when the SD845 w/ X20 modem doesn't support 5G, the logical answer would be that the X50 is in this device as well. (The X50 works in tandem with the X20, the former for 5G, the latter for the older networks.)

Repairs get harder to do and are expensive (OLED screens with GG is very very expensive. Minimum 200$), let's not mention discontinued parts...

After all, just put mod on motorola z 2016 get 5G or 10G, make motorola the oldest phone running 5G, nice innovation

even 4G is not good enough at the moment
i live in big city and often you find very slow or even no internet during rush hours in city centre switch to 3G and problem is solved 50mbps without a problem :) 4G cant reach 5
not only that but reception is just not as good as 3G
my phone always works in 3G, saves me battery and its fast enough even for fullhd netflix or youtube, even 4k should be fine

I don't get it. If the x20 modem on SD845 doesn't support 5G then how is XZ3 with same SoC supporting 5G?

What's the point in buying a phone with 5G when there isn't any 5G coverage? By the time there is 5G coverage the phone will be 1 1/2 to 2 years old and they will be looking to buy a new phone! Now if there was 5G coming in the beginning of 2019 then it might be worth it but first off the phone still looks like a phone from 5 years ago with a huge chin on top and bottom of Sony phones!! No thanks I'll stick with my Galaxy S8!!
