It is a race to the bottom with very little chance of differentiation and WP7 is looking really good with Mango. I would recommend WP7 over Android to any non-techies.

They've backed the wrong OS platform.

WP7 has just not taken off.

Come on Nokia, switch to Android like everyone else.

In my view, Nokia still does not get it: (a) If you are talking of a high-end smartphone, these days, you cannot be talking of a 3.7" display. You should be talking of at least a 4.3" display. One of the most desired features of iPhone 5 is a bigger screen. (b) Nokia has not addressed one of the key reasons iPhone and Android are so successful - free or almost free software. I was a Windows Mobile fan and I found the applications very expensive. Now, with my Android devices, I get great software for free. Unless Windows Phone 7 has lots and lots of free great software as well, it will not make a dent in the market!

What is up with the UK price? £440 and they had the euro price at €420. Strange exchange rates there.

I am a bit confused as to which phone to go for. I love the design of the new Nokia N9 and 800 but should I get the windows of the Meego version? I mostly use just the old fashioned phone bit, calender, sms, photo parts. Don't need all sorts of social media (I have a phone and an email address so if somebody really wants to get in touch with me it should not be so difficult - or does that make me really old fashioned?)
Anybody got any clear info that would help me make a choice?

It's actually very cheap when u think about it, the N9, which is pretty much the same except for the OS, costs 200£ more. I can't wait for this to be available
