No more Toshiba 1" sensors for Nokia. Nokia is now rubbish.

While I personally don't believe that multiple small cameras with different apertures working together to read depth and create bokeh works any better than a larger single camera lens can do, I'm curious to see what image quality this can produce.

I just hope one of those cameras is dedicated for macro shots that that can focus objects at 1cm distance or less. I like macro photography very much!!!

GTK DONALD, 07 Sep 2018what a shame , why smart phones doing this . why they cant ... moresingle camera is outdated. At least need second telephoto lens which is so useful not for those portrait modes but for capturing far away objects usually during sporting or other events, landscapes

That looks absolutely hideous. My previous phone, a Lumia 1020, had a single rear-facing camera, and there are only a handful of modern phone cameras that can compete. If Samsung can still do it with a single camera in their current flagship, HMD can, too.

Marco M, 07 Sep 2018Calling someone clueless for disagreeing with you is a low ... more"as I look at the complete picture on no higher resolution than about 8MP (4K) and while I can have up to 120x80cm prints in my home, they aren't inspected at nose distance."
Well, the extra pixels would help to reframe the picture without compromising the quality.

Marco M, 07 Sep 2018"With just little processing"
So the camera isn't good e... more"So the camera isn't good enough for you, YOU need to help it by 3rd party sofware and spend extra time to get a good enough result."
I you knew something about image processing and image editing you would know that in pre-processed images cannot be edited afterward.
When you process those images (lets say color manipulation), you will lose some data that can't be recovered.
Nokia's old phones did very little image processing and that means that the professional editing could be done afterward more easily.
