Four Huawei phones get delisted from 3DMark

Huawei P20, P20 Pro, nova 3 and Honor Play were removed after the company admitted tampering with results.

When talking about "best overall," a phone has to be at least decent at everything, which the p20 and pro aren't. Sure, they have the best camera, and battery life is good, but what else stands out? Clearly they are not the fastest vs snap 845, display is notched and only 1080p compared to 1440p in competitors, the version of Android is rather heavy and not exactly to everyone's tastes, it's missing 3.5mm jack and sd slot, etc. If we were talking about "best all around," I'd say lg v35 thinq, for its combo of features, performance, camera, and software experience.

    Huawei themselves admitted this. Any market is like this. Schick vs Gillette and adding razors. Vaccuums with the more amps race. Back in the day, mechanical watches had a jewel count race. Huawei stating they fudge numbers then having all the dirt thrown at their door is dishonest as all companies will work to mislead you to get you to buy their products. Benchmarking has a place, but the way it is, is for marketing. Of course 3D will give them the boot, they want to remain relevant. Huawei p20 is a great phone. And I have a moto g4 that still works. Had an iphone 5 that it's antenna stop working after a year. My g4 handles pubg game with low to mid graphics. My p20 has no issues with high settings. Besides gaming the g4 works just as well as the p20. No one will make money talking like that. The call quality is important. Memory for music, quality photos, and the feeling you get from using the interface. What Huawei did was wrong, but it's commendable of them coming clean.

            In a week I returned to JIO
            Because airtel network is bad here .
            I did not used any speed test apps

            Considered my essential life.
            My advice don't trust benchmarks crunch marks DxO speed test apps

              For tracking your data always... Just use a laptop or PC when using your FB account for safety, cause Facebook has that little 1KB extension app that helps them track your phone everywhere even if you didn't use a mobile app

                Anonymous, 07 Sep 2018I have a feeling this performance mode won't be battery friendly.Battery drain stays basically the same since thermal throttling if a given on any android phone, performance/boost mode on or off, the chipset can exceed its design TDP for a short period but that just means it will throttle to below design TDP shortly after. Theres no way around the fact that only iPhones can provide a continued high performance over a longer period of time, something gamers also notice very well on heavy 3D games.

                Gaming modes otoh, they can help by reducing the resolution and therefore put less strain on the GPU but thats a compromise, resolution is often cut to 25%. It was very common for iPad games to use iPad 2 resolution on Retina devices to increase gaming performance so this isnt new.

                    Hahah, this is too funny. People have been warned and made aware that P20 and P20 Pro were not that great phones, the paper spec are made to impress but the phones arent worth nearly the asking price. So how does it feel to have paid almost iPhone X price for a faked device that has extremely poor second hand value? People are selling these with 500 dollars loss after a few months, see now why iPhone X is the cheapest phone on the market?

                    I written many comments in this site why Huawei is the worlds most expensive phone brand, so overpriced and so low second hand value, now this faked performance in addition that i didnt even know about, clearly only millionaires who dont need performance should consider Huawei. 2 year old iPhone 6s introduced in 2015 sells for more.

                      P20 Pro is still the best OVERALL PHONE. Not fastest, fastest is OnePlus 6 without any doubts.

                      Owned both phones.

                        At this point those synthetic benchmark tools are almost useless since many brands cheat the test, I think it's better to stick with real life tasks like the time to open apps, how the games perform and multi-tasking capabilities.

                                  I don't like to trust this 3D bench crunch marks scores even in Samsung ..
                                  After installing apps
                                  Compare speed of phone ..
                                  Than buy ..

                                    So the phone will get OC by itself. Big deal. It means they have spare room to do OC without heating up. I guess this is a good thing for users. Especially gamers. If they will give access to that 'Performance Mode' would be even better and in their advantage.
