And that's it. I mean, who trusts DxO nowadays? The results are still inconsistent.
This Note 9 is a great shooter, but some scenes simply don't need this HDR processing that a lot of manufacturers are implementing into their phones.

This world have 3 kind of people, one doesn't care or trust Dxomark, another one rely on Dxomark, the last one is know nothing and can be fooled by it.

You think those 3 companies don't do wha... moreThe problem is that those companies you just listed don't really give a damn about what consumer really wants. HTC moved onto those useless pressure sensitive button for the sake of being "innovative" (though it ended up being essentially the worse version of iPhone 7's pressure sensitive button) and cheap panel to save cost, LG reduces battery capacity and camera quality every time they release new G and V series + quality control issues, and Sony is now throwing meaninglessly bulky and heavy design to us while removing a headphone jack, which none of us expected to see from one of the largest audio company in the world.
What about successful companies, though?
Samsung is basically giving us everything we want with their Galaxy S line, Apple keeps iPhones basic and simple to use while offering an excellent set of hardware, Huawei producing phones with excellent camera and long-lasting battery life with no significant flaw, and their midrange offerings are solid. Xiaomi and OnePlus are making excellent phones for the price, again, without compromising the overall quality severely.
See the difference now? It's not just advertising, it's just that successful companies actually DO make decent products. Those who are failing simply don't... shouldn't be hard to understand.

Im expecting a more mature and logic with common sense along the way as an answer since comment section can be an educational place.

Also, if you think the extremely selective scenes where smartphones can achieve fairly good images makes them near DSLR-like is a bit worrisome. I hope you're just using hyperbole... :)

The colour reproduction and exposure are natural looking photo. To be honest, i dont like over expose photo like how samsung and huawei doing thing.

Note 9 has better software that next year will arrive on s9+, probably with android 9.

DxOMark score is a big joke. The more you pay the higher your score. Marketing site with unnecessary analysis and explanation.
