Motorola Droid 4 poses for some proper spyshots, looks familiar

27 October, 2011
The smartphone looks closely related to the Droid RAZR, adds an illuminated QWERTY to the mix.

Anyone else notice this droid cuts a shape very similar to the Nokia N8, E7 and X7? Look at the outline of it, not the thiickness or placement of anything else in particular.

This looks great! However is funny I an still waiting for the Milestone 3 to launch in Europe. Probably this phone will have a sibling called Milestone 4. Or maybe they will launch this as the Milestone 4. Whatever the case, I would buy them both.

This is what I am talking about, I liked Razr's look yes. And I NEED a hardware keyboard. There I have. And the keyboard with TAB key and the freaking arrow keys right on the keyboard! How cool is that. With 4 inches screen! I like it.

Anonymous, 27 Oct 2011Still looks like a huge hulk of a rectangular beast. Do you... moreThe Droid 3 is a heap better at multitasking than the Xperia Pro, though from what everyone is saying it could have used more RAM.

I'd really like a hardware keyboard phone to have 4.3"+ screen.. I find 4" a bit small at times.

The Xperia Pro would have done much better if they had released it in March, rather than September or whenever it was.

Oh, why oh why can we not get a top spec phone with this hardware keyboard? Touchscreen keyboards are awful.

I see the major punctuation shortcuts have been moved to the number keys now.. that's a nice touch. The '@' symbol has been moved to a shortcut rather than it's own key.

Hopefully the letter keys will have the rest of the punctuation shortcuts, I guess we'll see.

I like the layout of the keyboard. Five rows allow for a row dedicated for numbers. It also makes finding punctuation marks easier as they are in places similar to that of a full-sized QWERTY keyboard. My only concern is that the keys are really close to each other without any spacing in between. I like my HTC Desire Z and Nokia N97 keyboards because of the spacing in between the keys. I have difficulty with my BlackBerry Tour because the keys have no spacing in between.
