It's 2018 and Apple still doesn't provide fast charger with its iPhones

It's because they still can't fix the battery issues on their garbage phones. I think their chipset have issues on battery. lol

              I don't think every new device should come with a charger inside. so is the cord and earphones.

              Every serious user must have many chargers with him over so many years of purchases of various devices. paying additionally for a powerful multi devices supported charger is not a problem.

                My Essential Phone is very lucky I began to understand healthier charging habits the week I got it. My other phones, I would only charge it once it got below 20% or when it completely dies which happened many times. That's very bad. That's why my G5 and V20 batteries have degraded quickly within a year. It's very obvious.

                On my Essential, I rarely get it below 20%. Probably only burn 40% per day with it as I bring along my iPhone SE as well to lessen its load. I have this Android app called Battery Charge Notifier. It works most of the time. Keep repeat notifications on. My Essential is limited to 85% and my LG phones are limited to 75% before they make a ringing sound.

                Do some research with battery charging and most experts will say fast charge, charging it up to 100% every time, and draining it down to 0% isn't healthy. Treat your smartphone like your laptop. Do the 80-40 rule as often as you can.

                        That might actually be a great thing. Fast charging can ruin a battery much faster due to heat. I only charge up my phones up to 75%-85%. The ones at home I will charge once it reaches 40%-45%. The ones I bring to work I try NOT to get it below 25%. I am actually trying to find a slower charger for some of my phones.

                        Best way are shallow charges. More top ups. Anything from 30%-50% is better than 80% (20%-100%). People wiith multiple phones should learn healthy charging habits. Once it reaches trickle charge (90%), it can get very hot which is bad for lithium ion.

                        Educate yourselves.

Comparing 8+ with iphone XR .. i still feel 8+ is still a much better phone even in terms of features as it gives better display, better camera, no notch and rest all of the features and specs are exactly same as XR ... so why pay more just for A12 chip which basically does not offer any Huge improvements but only minor performance upgrade. XR is a downgrade when compared to 8+ !!
