One fewer: the OnePlus 6T will not have a headphone jack, Carl Pei confirms

It's official, folks. OnePlus even unveiled a version of its Bullets V2 headphones with USB-C as the 3.5mm model is going the way of the dodo.

Well this will be rip era for oneplus gdbye

    Unlike Huawei and Xaiomi it will have LTE support for North and South America. Hopefully they can avoid the Pixel 3;XL type notch.

          Baseless decision & a stupid one.
          You just want us to pay for your wireless headphones.. Its just a market strategy to milk the fan base.. Good luck with that. I am moving on to other brands..

                Was looking forward to the 6T. And I'll still wait for it to be announced before I get a new phone this year but somehow I see myself not getting it as launch day approaches. Might stick with the current phone untill SD855 phones come out.

                      There us no competition. Not in media, not in IT, not in manufacturing. There are getting their commands from the same source.

                        I recommend to buy mid end phones, you can find the 3.5mm jack, micro SD slot and other features more than the current trend of flagship phones and still have many of the features of high end phones like multiple cameras and good performance.

                          When One Plus had a Headphone jack they used to mock other companies and boasted that they listened to their customers. I thought they were different from other companies. Well I was wrong.

                            problem with usb c earphones is THEY Don't support my LAPTOP since they are not UNIVERSAL STANDARD(considering we are alone in universe)

                              whats the point in focus groups if you recycle oppo designs and dumb notch and removing jack decisions... joke, absolute joke

                                Guess my next phone will surely be a Samsung(if they keep the 3.5mm jack that is).

                                  They better improve the speaker or speakers for ditching the headphone jack! This is disappointing....

                                    Because you think it's worthy of thinking that it's an advancement of modern technology to actually remove one important part of the phone for no good reason obviously, doesn't mean rest of us want to.

                                    Some have perfectly working, great head-/earphones, some might have even cost hundreds of bucks. Throwing that all away? Why?

                                    It'd make sense to have the USB-C port as one part for either charging or the 3.5mm, but historically so. Meaning, years ago that would've made sense, but now that it's going backwards.

                                      Manufactures are moving away from 3.5mm wired jack in favour of wireless but most audiophile grade equipment are wired like hd 800 , shure 846 , audeze lcd and isine series making fool of customers regarging space issues claims samsung has crammed full s pen + 3.5 mm jack in note 9 +4000mah battery
