          It's selling out because many people want to scalp it or can try it out for two weeks and then return it. The iPhone 7 / 7 Plus was the same way and that was one of the more boring iPhone upgrades ever only topped a year later by the iPhone 8 / 8 Plus because people held out for the X.

          More people will now holdout for the XR. That one, they more likely will keep because it's cheap and some probably made a nice profit selling the XS / XS Max to countried who don't have it yet. The Max is the most high-end which is the best one to profit.

          The Max is the first true large iPhone Plus that doesn't cheat you with size. The X / XS claims "5.8 but it's still narrow. Like typing on a "5 phone with a taller display. The keyboard will feel cramped. XR seems like the middle-ground. It has more of the size as the Galaxy S7 edge without the curved display. Excellent for typing.

              Devs care sales a lot, the more Apple sells the more potential users developers get and we keep getting all the good stuff first because we value developers work. Also ecosystem is stronger when more people use it.

              This is big one for you Android people, the more product sales, the longer life it has, better chance to get support for long time. If phone sells very badly companies don't see reason to support it, that's why very few Android phones have good software support.

                Hi! I am an apple user since iphone4.But this time apple has gone too far.Its like day time robbery.Absolutely no upgrade just a new colour.last year we bought iphone x for 1000 USD was because it was a 10 yr anniversary edition and a new Design.this time iphon xs max should have been 1000 USD.those who have iphone x should not upgrade(actually downgrade as there is no earphone dongle this time)to iphone xs in protest.If we don't then they will sure drop a bomb on us next year.

                                    I don't know why all you Apple haters say these phones won't sell. If sales are bad Apple will just slow down all the old phones to make all the isheep buy one.
