First they release a phone with outdated and buggy software then to add insult to injury they say they will not update to ICS. Well, the choice is simple - ditch LG for serious phone makers - Samsung, HTC and Motorola come to mind. These other companies make phones that are worth buying and their high end phones will get ICS. LG should be relegated to the dustbin of the past.

I undersrtand lg refusing to upgrade this phone. I think that eventhough this was the first dual core phone in the market, sales was lagging behind latecomers like samsung galaxy s2 and htc sensation. I think lg just doesn't have the energy anymore. Their mobile division is losing money.

I'm pretty sure lg customers expected this..what is the big surprise? They are known for their lack of support...its also because their phone is cheaper then everyone else's. If you wanted good updates, buy the nexus line or now sony and motorola promising 4.0 for all their 2011 products.

Dofro, 29 Oct 2011In this case the fragmentation is a fault of LG, not Androi... moreI agree. My first phone was a LG, never again. Same with my friends. Thanks a lot LG Chocolate, made me realize why I should never buy anything that says LG on it, because Life is good without LG.

At the end of the day I could care less, I will only get a device that i can put cyanogen on anyways. like my G2x and im pretty sure that there will be support of ics for the G2x from Cyan.

But you can't deny all the new phones from Motorola are confirmed to have the ICS update...and the other manufactures are very selected to have...

Or you don't learn how to read??? Your poor argue only demonstrate the ignorant people actually you are...

                      And just because Motorola?? MEGALOL

Nagol, 29 Oct 2011Another reason why I don't buy into android products. Their... moreseriously? that's sucks man.. you do know android is open source right? everyone can use it for free. let say if you make a phone, you put android inside, you sell it, you don't update it, it's android fault?.. if you want update, buy from trustworthy company.. try HTC or samsung or NEXUS, you got your update..

Ridiculous,it's drivers they must offer nothing more! How much do cost some good developers for that? How much they will loose in the end again?People get mad because as my 2x they have same issues and the worst is that LG let us know by saying things like that or by not saying nothing that they don't care for people's REAL experience from their phones! Mess!

Another reason why I don't buy into android products. Their support is not good and your everyday customer is not gonna know anything about rooting and even waste their time to even try. Atleast with symbian, you get major support and wp7. Android is poor when it comes to supporting their ecosystem.

Fragmentation is a problem with Anroid...bt i think this time its more to do with LG...becoz its a dual core phone with a high end specs and should be able to support ICS.
Manufactures like LG should use vanilla Anroid if dey r not capable of updating der phones with custom skins...or they should learn from Sammmy and stop giving excuses.
