Apple has ALWAYS been in the high end or flagship market, have never been apologetic about their price, have never said otherwise, yet year in year out, millions of haters are simply shocked lol.

Going further through your ignorance where you pretty much described the typical ios fan, i actually never met one to even know what RAM actually do(or to know it's full name), or task manager or even better, a file manager is, let alone the basic stuff like MByte Mbit or Gbyte/GBit(i know you don't, so don't bother answering m, search motors are older thenn 20). The typical would be the one that bites all the crappy stuff apple stick in their eyes without even having a clue what they mean, but it must be good, is apple. Oh laughting my a off. Now, i am not claiming android does not have this users, cause would be a lie, but please stop hurting my eyes with so much ignorance, Show me one techie that uses apple and i show you how he ain't one. Apple is for those(according to real apple fans, the old ones, the real users) who do not know better, or just expect to buy sonething that works without them thinking to much. And mostly that is also what it it. A conpany for the ones who do not know better, so, they found the first and got stucked.

Few years back, Apple aimed to have a phone in every price range from 300€ to 1200€... and that recently came true. That's why there is the XR. Apple does need a part of price sensitive market aswell. Even tho, expensive models are still better deal for the price.
These iPhones are pre-ordering like crazy. And people on budget will upgrade on last year models if they don't already have them, or they can sell them and get XR if they do.

I owned a iPhone 6S before my current Android- and I hate my Z2 Play- it sucks. I preferred my 6S, and was VERY happy with it. My next phone will either be the Sony Z3, the Pixel 3, the S9+, or the P20 Pro (Really leaning towards the Sony or the Pixel).
I cannot spend my money on an XR that will take worse photos, have a worse screen, have less storage, no quick-charging(at least not without buying it separately) and possibly worse battery life. The same goes for an Xs- I cannot fork out hundreds of dollars more for a worse Camera, Less storage, lack of quick-charging, and worse battery life phone. Again- not bashing Apple, they make great products but this time around they simply missed the mark- since for me**, the features they are offering simply do not entice me.

Which is impressive bec... moreApple have stopped innovating, and every new model have less/worse hardware than previous model, only a little faster cpu and gpu. No 3.5 mm headphone jack and no fingerprint sensor, not even the modern under the screen fingerprint sensor! Apple iPhones, and MacBooks, are falling far behind the competition, the only thing they have left to make money is their brand, "Apple", and they use that brand to sell phones for the price of a second hand car!

It's mostly because they invested in innovation instead of big words.
For example they don't use Qualcomm SoC due to how weak it is? Everybody esle seem happy to use it. Secondly they don't cut corners in biometrics (they completely stopped developing the 5 yo tech named fingerprint sensor.
Lastly they are the only ones to put so much hardware to a phone sized phone instead of releasing phablets all the time. Which is why this analyst is wrong. Xs would sell better and probably has the most revenues than either. It would always be the smaller prime model that sold the most in Apple. Apple fans have taste they won't just biy the biggest of all and worry about storing it lately. They are thoughtful people unlike fandroids who are basically drones.

If it's priced the same as the competition or lower like in the case of the iPhone XR, and which is noticeably lower in specs and quality compared to the co-released iPhones XS and XS Max, it will have negative impact on prestige and brand image. Sales of the premium models will drop. Bad for long term sales.

If you want to have the best of the best, you must pay more than the rest.
Apple needs to enter the super-premium and luxury market and have their phones priced at minimum $3000 for the base model and at around $4500-$5000 for the top model. Then only the wealthiest will buy them and the medium and lower income people will not have anything to complain about, because they won't be able to own any of them.
