Geric.770, 18 Sep 2018I thought XR will be the most popular? Lmao.It is. It's stated int this news' headline and the report from Kuo. But in my country, most (middle class) people will hold onto their iPhone 7/8/X just because they feel no need to splurge on XS/XR as the performance still great enough for them. They just thought: "Damn, what a price for a dash of prestige and vanity". Odd, yes. But that's my society.

I thought XR will be the most popular?
      Lmao.

we can understand if people buy iPhones because they are really using the Phone for multitasking and Business, Playing hardcore games.
But if they just buy iPhone for social media and to show off,, it doesn't really make sense..

"Kuo expects the new iPhones to be slightly more successful than last year's models"

I don't believe you. You said the price of the most expensive model will stay the same as last year but look what happened. Just quit being so obssessed over Apple.

Also, many people already own an iPhone X, whereas there was no equivalent to the XS max and XR before. So a big part of the lack of demand would be people with no need to upgrade.

It's expected. iPhone users are tired of Apple milking them $1,000++ to own a disposable phone without fast chargers, dongles and basic wired earbuds, that will be obsolete next year with the launching of 'the greatesest, bestestest, mostesest advancest iPhone yet". Don't you love it when Jony Ive discusses how the fastestest, mostest durablest, powerfulest iPhone yet to known to man gets introduced each and every year? His hypnotic voice with a strong English accent truly makes users of older iPhones want to upgrade. But somehow, there's a limit ti his hypnotic powers. Says the iPhone XR buyer: Spend $1,000++ for a piece of slab that gets disposed annually? That's the cost of my 65" 4K UHD TV and my Windows 10 intel pentium i7 touchscreen laptop with NVdia graphics card and SSD! :D

                  as 6s user .... NO !!!!

You don't have to be analyst, it is pretty obvious. People who don't care about money will go for max. But most of iPhone fans are not ready to pay over 1000 dollars or just can't afford that, so they will go for Xr.

As I expected and Apple will lose more money :)
