It was a good size... now when even Sony compacti models Are too big... well there Are not good normal size phones any more.

Yes I have looked into the pixel 3. The lack of headphone jack kind of turns me off. Also it is rumored to be a 5.4" screen which is no way a small phone. XZ compact series seems to be the only option left at this moment. But those phones are also getting bigger. For eg. XZ2 compact screen is 5" as compared to 4.6" of XZ1 compact. I remember when samsung note 1 came out, it appeared to be huge. But, it was only 5.3". Nexus 6 appeared to be huge but now we have flagships at 6.2" screen. As the flagship phones will get bigger, so will the so called compact versions. I can understand that general people like big screen but there are also people like me who absolutely hate to use big phones and sadly we are running out of options.

Simple. They have decided to make the iphone more exclusive for even higher margins.
Apple sheep who can't afford it will have to buy used iphones. Those who can burn money and upgrade every year or two, trade-in or sell their old iphones

I actually got iPhone SE as I want the cheapest option for me to try out the iOS. My main phone is still Pixel 2, honestly it's the best of both world since iPhone SE doesn't seem to be lacking in speed despite having an iPhone 6S internal (which is only barely 1 year old when iPhone SE is announced hence it's still relevant in the market.) But now the cheapest option is iPhone 7, which is announced in 2016, 2 years old hardware, or else you'll have to look at iPhone 8 or even iPhone Xr (first time all iPhone has been above 5.5") which are more expensive. idk, i still hope there'll be a sequel to iPhone SE by early next year.

People would own an iPhone SE and a tablet where the phone is for calls, messaging and simple games only, while the tablet is for surifng the internet, HD movies & high end games at home.

Then there's the Sony Xperia2 Compact which can DEFINITELY suit your needs.

Considering Samsung didn't release a successor to the A3 (and it's the company that loves making up excuses to release a zillion models) and that the Sony Compact is 5 inches now, I'd say it's clear small phones aren't selling well anymore. Maybe the problem is people interested in them want them just for basic usage and don't think those $350-$600 price tags are justified. We'll have to wait and see how the hopefully more affordable Palm Pepito performs.

Fits perfectly in one hand, you can reach any point in screen in any direction with your thumb, which is a unique feature. And an insane speed on top of that

It's was literally the updated version of their 2013 flagship....

There should be an iPhone SE-sized phone with modern internals.

Maybe an A11 and up to 256GB. Dual cameras.

                      And slim bezels.

Anonymous, 23 Sep 2018Not all people buy it only for playing pubgsorry but still too small. 4.7-5.0 should be the new perfect size for replacement considering it will be bezel-less and have a notch, usual apple design

The 6s/6s Plus and X were discounted too and nobody wants to talk about it.

6s/6s Plus - Last to offer real home button and headphone jack for that "4.7 and" 5.5 display size

X - Verizon model was the only X to have the Qualcomm modem. The 10th anniversary iPhone had the shortest lifespan. The iPhone 10 Months.

It's Android's 10th birthday today and this writer only wants to talk about the iPhone SE? Ignore the 6s, X, and Android. The SE will be in circulation for years. Relax.

This is the worst phone that ive ever have. Useless phone from the begining. Poor display with ancient ppi, problems with wifi, mediokore photo qualiti, lags. This and iphine 6 is mine worst experience with phones att all.

Im not a die hard fan of apple, nor the worst detractor. but who can play pubg on that form factor any time now?
BTW i loved the form factor when it was released. now it does not have any compelling reason to stay. i think the new midranger phone should be at least 5"

iPhone SE 2 would have been the only reason for me to go back to Apple. I am happy with Android but lately their phones have been gigantic which I hate. Personally, for me a phone should be something that I can quickly take out of my pocket, call/text or do something on an app with one hand while my other hand is free. Not to mention how comfortable it is to use a small phone or carry in your pocket. If I need a bigger screen to watch movies or videos, I can use my tablet or laptop. Honestly, adding a couple of inches to your smartphone to make it 6" from 4" would not make a huge difference. It is still 6", which is smaller than a basic 10" tablet. But those extra 2" are going to make it a lot more uncomfortable to use as a phone. The original iPhone came under supervision of Steve Jobs and back then Apple used to care about small details such as form factor and user comfort. The design was not random. It came after a lot of research from Apple. Nowadays, Apple is just making giant phones to attract attention of Android users and giving least priority to user experience, which made them successful in the first place.

Personally, I think the SE design which is the relative of 5 is the best design that Apple has ever made its solid and has perfect lines. Nothing so far has come close the back of the space grey color is perfect. Yes its tiny and using it in this day and age for websites is painful and I no longer use Apple phones but this was the last great design.
