RIP Apple iPhone SE

23 September 2018
We say goodbye to the iPhone SE. Truly missed or just a nostalgic throwback to the past?

I can't vote yes or no because, yes it was old fashion, old chipset, everything old, but it was a piece of nostalgia that old Apple, that Apple that didn't like huge screens, still exists, but these days are gone, as is gone Apple former CEO Steve Jobs along Apple identity. Apple now is more like Samsung than what it used to be.

A compact smartphone is a niche category but it would be at least nice to have to option to pick a device rather than the device mentioned not exist at all.
An upgraded 2018 version of the phone would be welcome from my pov.

Geric.770, 23 Sep 2018One of the most popular iPhones I've ever seen. Also, it's... moreAgree. Apple doesn't care though. They know they are not able to sell iPhones as many as they wanted to. So, if they don't promote the more expensive ones, they may not be able to reach the target. This strategy killed X as well.

Apple loves to remove anything good from it's ecosystem.

Well, Apple just seems to get progressively worse and removing more and more features as time goes on. Who knows, the future iPhones might even kill of the charging port.

So yeah, looking back the iPhone SE was not as bad as current iPhones. It had the good old 3.5 mm headphone jack!

Also, it's one of the best executions Apple has ever done.
