android is a poor attempt to make a ios like os. Is there any single app that works better in android ?
if yes - i will consider them as a competitor.
Apple and whole android is different - people who uses ios will never appreciate android (jack of all trades and master of none). So stop these nonsense recommendation

I am an apple user, bought 2 air macs,2 macbooks,3 iphones,ipad...but for the money they are charging now for an iphone...the have lost it.I am not using an iphone for some time dor some time, you can do so many things with an android phone, even more than with apple for a fraction of a cost. For the money they charge for an iphone, I will be taking a vacation.

What makes me laugh every time I read an apple user/fan comment about poor people or exclusively is knowing that 85% of drug dealers and cheap lowlife that I know or see all have I phones, which I suspect is one of the main reasons for the price hike, it also means that although iPhone sales are stalling in many countries, the price hike means apple make even more profit from less sales.
Me, I refuse to have anything to do with apple products, for three main reasons. 1) No matter what fanny's or bench marks say, in real world, everyday use, apple are no better and often worse than other available hardware. 2)Ever since s jobs created apple, I have refused to have anything to do with the company on moral grounds, same as I do with Samsung, to the point that I leave perfectly sellable hardware in skips, even though I need the money from selling them, (yes, believe it or not, you would be amazed at what you can find in the right skips/bins, if you know where to look) 3) I don't want to look like every other immoral thug, drug dealer, estate agent or office wally(you know the type, many of the first listed for seats on the B ark) I have a few other reasons as well, but they are the main three. Unlike 98% of ALL device users, I understand the physics and theory of how every single part and production process really works and also indetstand the economics behind them as well, it gives you a different viewpoint when looking for a device for your own use. My next phone will be a ZTE axon 7 (full size) it has and does everything I want from a device, is getting cheaper by the day, if you can find one, it maybe old and dated according to lors of folk, but who really NEEDS the alleged improvements of later devices? it is after all, just a phone, no phone camera can take a good picture when compared to even a 10 year old good spec dslr, tiny lens = tiny light gathering =poor pictures, no matter how much processing, if the data isn't there to start with then it's a waste of time, OK for quick snaps but useless for anything else. Unlike most folk, although I still have better than average eye sight, I'm not a visual media type, I watch no films, TV, you tube etc etc, but I live for audio, be it music, plays or just listening to the world around me, so although for text based use I appreciate the larger and larger screens that I predicted years ago would just keep getting bigger, when most said I was spouting nonsense, lots of the alledged improvements to date are a waste for me, can you tell the difference between a 350dpi amoled and a 500dpi amoled, do you have accurate, trained colour vision ?
Re-body devices into identical dummy bodies and the vast majority of people couldn't tell the difference between a £400 ips, a & 600 amoled or a £1k old nor tell from performance of hardware either that one is 2.5X the price of another, only after they already know from use can most reliably tell what is what, just how much is your perceived elitism/snobbery worth to you.

I sold my iphone x for 75% of the original price,losing just 25%.on the other hand I also have a galaxy s9 plus which would give me less than 50% of the original price in just 5-6 months of use.so if you compare this way than Android devices are more expensive.

You should have compared with Sony, Nokia and Google Pixel as well.... Not just from you paid partnerahip companies handsets

If you take the comparison further in my place, iPhone Xs MAX 512 GB is $2100, and you can buy two Note 9 512 GB ($900-950 after cash back offers) plus one Pocophone F1! Damn you can start a mini shop and start selling it .....

I haven't read Apple Repair Terms and Conditions.
The statement:
"Your screen stops working and your iPhone isn't covered by the Apple warranty, consumer law, or AppleCare+."
is just referring to the cost incurred with an expired or non existent warranty.

Apple can have high prices because their prices meet the value of product and experience. That's why their sales are very high every year. Apple make their users very happy and Apple have made it very hard to leave from Apple ecosystem, basicly everything is one push away in same place and the more Apple products you own the more unified the experience is.
And what Apple have no-one can copy it, there's only one company selling phones with best ecosystem in the world.
When it's time to upgrade new phone, most of iPhone users upgrade to another iPhone because the experience been so good, that pretty much shows they got what they paid for and are willing to pay lot to have the same experience again.
