Holographic, phone release.
I think it is an incredibly interesting piece of technology. To think how far we have come, from those early black and white screens and little cute devices, then all glass, pinch picture screens, now to holographic.

We take too much, too often for granted, caught up in endless cycles of getting the latest chip sets when truth is, current chips are pretty awesome when you consider it is primarily just a phone, net and gallery.

As for Red, their could be some very practical benefits to such imagery. Looking forward to seeing the reality from all the build up and science.. .. and where such pioneering efforts take us too in the near future.

    i dont think this is holographic at all as they claimed- meaning it throws the 3d image mid-air as if it is physically on top of the screen. mkbhd's preview video of the device did not show it projecting a holographic image and marques was seemingly unimpressed; at the camera angle he was viewing the screen content, there would have been some parts of the image showing off the screen. it seems to me like he was just forced to say kind words (could be because red is sponsoring his equipments?), or i could just be assuming things. anyway, that was the reason i unsubscribed from mkbhd.

Especially for those outside the US. At 1200 USD, adding import fees, taxes of all sorts, and obviously the generous profit for the eBay/Amazon seller that's going to buy and import the devices, you'll end up with the dilemma of a 512GB Note 9 + enough change for a 100MB/s 512GB MicroSD card or this phone here.

              DOA

                Whilst Holographic image is awesome and everything. Preformance and price are the things that I consider valueable. I KNOW It uses a Snapdragon 835.. and I know it's a-not-exactly-mainstream-device... but I wouldn't consider getting it anyway. ^^;
