The speeds are excellent and what I like is how fast it connects to a wifi or starts the data connection (less than 1 second). I didn't have any signal problems. Also LG V30 has a low SAR value so it will not fry you're brain so bad as an iphone for example.

They should always appear black and just display the notification.. Apps or wallpapers should never flow to them and restricted to the main rectangular display

Notch is making phones more modern look and you can hide it and the bezel still smaller than notchless phone. Beside, you can have battery, signal, etc at the left and right-hand corners when you hide the notch
My Asus zenfone 5 is more beautiful than Galaxy A8.
Like you, I also don't understand non sense like: no notch please, notch = not buy, too bad it have notch, etc... And these came from geeks? No way!
To me these people are just ignorant haters who lack sound logic. I laugh at comments like that, showing their serious lack of intelligence, pure hate.

I still don't understand why LG added ThinQ to the name. Just call them G7 and V40. No need for the ThinQ at the end.
I wish Sony stops calling them Compact. If the next smaller phone with flagship specs comes out, call it XZ3c or XC1. Get rid of Compact.

i am more concerned about the size of the battery, why don't they make bigger batteries for these phones? why not make two models, one with a bigger battery

Think of the screens between the notch like a 2nd and 3rd screen. If we really like the 2nd screen from V10 and V20, then we'll like the 3rd screen too. Besides, the first thing we all do when we get a hated notched phone is to change the settings and "disable" the screen horns.

Personally, I hope my next phone will have small rear screens for selfies. That will eliminate the need for notches, provide superior selfies with flash and a lower powered, always-on screen for notifications.

Currently using Samsung A7 2016 version. Indeed the samsung theme store is the best out there because so many people use samsung phone, their theme store has become a profitable marketplace for creator.
For someone like me who change my phone theme every week, this definitely a plus for me. I've never tried LG phone theme.

XMen, 26 Sep 2018With f***ing notch? No, please.Come on, why people hate notch? It looks modern, unlike boring square regular screen with bezel. After trying some phone with notch, I found myself liking it so much. I am using a regular phone now, I'll definitely switch to this or mate 20 pro next.
All the notification icons are shifted upward sandwiching the notch. So you get more screen real estate without the icons disturb you. You can even turn it off, they even think about notch hater like you guys. What's the big deal?
