    its not about having a flagship handset. its about having the best value for your money.
    if you can have a flagship specs for a mid range handset why not?
    an instant savings for you. and enjoying your flagship specs on a midrange handset.

If you have the ... moreSo you are saying people should pay more than 3x for lesser battery, more premium but fragile build, no hf jack, no sd slot, no fingerprint, same real life performance, no out of the box fast charging, no option to listen music through your favourite earphones, a restricted boring UI, a stupid proprietary port that does nothing over a universal port, a huge camera bump, and just a slightly better camera?
              Or maybe that logo somehow adds 700$ to a phone, right?

                And judging from the way you said those amounts as if it is nothing, don't be so proud of the money you have today. The people you are making fun of because they earn less than you, tomorrow you may have to be in their shoes.
                Also maturity is more imporatant than age, you might be a grown up, but show some maturity. Don't judge people based on the money they earn.

                        More customers are getting smarter and decided to think more with their wallet than with a blindfold.

                        We should all be paying no more than $500 for any smartphone. Or we should buy last year's flagships for half the cost which are better than midrangers. I hope more companies copy OnePlus and Xiaomi.

"Apple is already dealing with lower sales of the iPhone 8 and X compared to the iPhone 6 generation, so its bottom line may hold still going into next year. However, some component suppliers are already starting to feel the pain of lower than expected order volumes with lower net profits." By the end of the day Apple may still outsell its nearest competitor, but not by a huge margin it once did. If Apple is arrogant enough to go on increasing its prices year after year, a day will come when Apple struggles to record a moderate sales figure also. Prices reached 1450 USD now, and will also reach 2000 USD in near future, will become a niche product, where only select few can afford it. Instead of bringing innovations, Apple is just milking its cash cow: iSheeps.

                            I already said it before - Apple cannot sustain this. That is why we see so called budget options. They themself undestand it. They also maybe held back with those iPhones and will launch something special next year. We will see if that is the case.

                                Accept them and I didn't say that Apple won't achieve record sales; they will but mostly from older iPhones that just got a hell-lot-of cheaper...
                                And about owning an iPhone- I already have the 8 model...

                                    Not surprising to me. Prices are unacceptable. XS 64GB is €1159 in The Netherlands.

                                      Because people realized that they are not willing to spend a thousand pounds/dollar just for the brand for lifestyle and fashion. They realized that they can buy a phone less than £1449 with expandable memory.
