Sounds like a smart idea to me.

Those that have a fear of being out of control, will feel less "big brother" as a default, but everyone can still opt in if they want to. They could pose a question on it, or even have a 'recommendations' notification, to help people with an overview of what they could opt in.

Samsung and others could learn from that!! Much better than ramming a lot of junk down our throats that we have to try to disable, uninstall, or maim by reducing permissions....

Would be MUCH better if we had to opt IN, rather than (try to) opt OUT.

          AI on/off or AI off/on i'm sure that 50% of people will complain anyway...

            Not really. It just turns of the big master ai. The mate 10 pro ai is still at work. Unless you use pro mode, of course.

              Good. It made photos over-saturated and filtered skin errors a lot, which made photos appear as if they were taken with Beauty Mode on.

              Such features should always be optional, and not turned on by default!
