You're so right... I've talked myself into the SE K850 for my next upgrade but as great as it is I wanted more and now I realise what it is. Its got to feel great in your hand and look fantastic. I want function with form.

It doesn't matter how functionally advanced a mobie handset is if it looks bland and uninteresting. Although not usually a Moto consumer I say good on you Motorola for stepping outside the box and producing a design that turns heads. Its like a mercedes versus a ford, they both get you from A to B but the Merc makes a visual statement as does this gorgeous handset.
I hope it will be available in the UK Q4. If it is Moto has a new customer - Looking fwd to the GSM Arena review on this phone's face lift next week.

TO Gaurhoth let me tell you,
as a mobile sales person, nothing comes back more often than Motorolas phones, espically the V3. However it is one of the most popular brands so on the whole they do sell almost as much here as Nokias.

This model has some decent looks and features and is made for a higher market. F3's are the cheapest model $39Aus and sells like mad - Because its cheap. Lol it has no real menu, words look like a calculator and you can save peoples numbers but the not names with them!! Wtf? freaky. But if you want something that looks unique this is the phone for you. Fantastic fashion icon. Just dont expect them to last.

This is to the FAKE Elder Murtazan below me who's OBVIOUSLY trying to steal the identity of THE REAL Eldar Murtazin from mobile-reviews.com... (u did not even spell the name right hahahahaha)... it's EldAr not EldEr and it's MurtazIn not MurtazAn.

What are u talking sayin about old outdated Linux OS?... u obviously are an imposter.

Here is the closing comment from THE REAL Elder Murtazin:

"On the official announcement of the Motorola RAZR, many blamed it for offering no breakthrough in terms of functionality, while the design alone wouldn’t sell the phone. It has been several years since 2004, yet the RAZR is still there with soaring sales, its successors, like the Motorola RAZR V3i, share this success as well and the company couldn’t be happier selling these solutions. Rolling out the RAZR2 V8, over at Motorola they by no means bank on the merits of the original RAZR and don’t set off to make this solution run with the design concept alone. It has a unique style, yet recognizable profile and on top of that, packs a bevy of features for such solution. It would be really hard to name direct competitors for the new RAZR – each of them lacks something in particular. So this is one sweet handset."

Next time before u try and steal someones identity make sure u do it properly ok??? Good.

Also... to that guy/girl called Kal... u been naggin Motorola for at least the last 4 years or so every chance u get here on GSMarena... haven't u got a job yet or are u still looking for one?... i mean 4 years is a really long time to be jobless dont u think?

                  Motorola Rules everyday, alldayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!! RESPECT!!!!!

while not everyone needs a 5 megapixel phone, i think a big phone company such as Motorola with its perceived technological know-how, is expected to offer at least one or two handsets which offer higher technology than their phones do at the moment to at least keep up with the competition =/

                          Nice discussion you have here...

Racists buy Motorolas? Big news: they (at least mine is) are made in China, just like everything else. Does that make Nokia (Finland) an Aryan phone?

                          Megapixels? C'mon, it's a phone! For the price of a N95 I can buy SIX 6-megapixel Nikons.

Motorola breaks down? Huh? I got mine as a birthday present from a relative who makes a living repairing cell phones, and he said they don't have as many problems with them as with other brands.

Sales? Motorola always has something. Currently - Motofone F3 is topping the sales charts.

Bling? Personally, this one is a bit tasteless, but if I had to choose between this and the Nokia Luna whatever, I'd take Motorola just because I can actually do things with it. I don't see many webpages dedicated to modifying other brands of phones. Hooking it up to a computer is a breeze, and the menus don't look like something from a videogame but like something I can use. Just how many people out there will show me a non-Symbian Nokia and say they have a better phone, and when I look at it they'll have 5 wallpapers and 6 ringtones in it, and they never use any of the features.

first things first its a gorgeous looking phone. secondly would i buy it? the answer is no....its too flashy for me but would make a nice gift for mu girlfriend.Thirdly the question of whether we use all the functions in our mobiles....the answer is no.barring a few experts most people use a phone mostly for calling and texting and listening to songs.i own an n95 and I use it 1 for calling 2 for sms 3 for listening to songs and 4 bluetooth to transfer songs. When it was spanking new I was terribly excited about the gps....now i nvr use it.The reason? it takes around half an hour to hook up and that is when i am lucky plus im not paying my hard earned or rather my parents hard earned money for full gps functionality.Lastly i dont like browsing on it bcoz after browsing on my fren's e90 my screen looks like shit. In the end the reason we spend so much on cellphones is simple....it has become a fashion accessory like it or not. it is just like a watch. a 25 dollar Timex will give as good a time as a 10,000 dollar Rolex but people buy it for the exclusivity...which in other words mean that they want other people to know that they are rich and successful enough to own a Rolex or Chopard or whatever. In the end that is just it ..I will sell my n95 in 6 months for the sole reason that it will become outdated by then and something flashier and newer will have come and I will have to keep out with my friends spanking new 7 megapixel n99 or k900 or whatever. That in essence is why i buy cellphones and sorry for the long post.

                                Dear "Hx"

I dont quite get you. Yes ----"not everyone is interested in having every function available in their handset. A lot of people want a phone that can do the basic things like call, text, play mp3's, take an okay photo in case they don't have a camera handy, but they want something that looks nice and stylish".

So you have many in moto's portfolio to attract those customers. what about the people who want a good camera phone?

Let not talk about moto sales. They are absolutely not following up to RAZRs success to begin with. They are simply trying and the fact is loosing ground everyday. They are supposed to bring good cam phone at the end of the year wiht kodak............ and you think moto doesnt need a good cam phone???

the only good moto phone i have used is the ancient StarTec clampshell phone, all newer moto phones are just crap, the color and resolution and camera quality and usability are just crappy, i so regretted getting a moto k1 phone which i was so happy to have traded in for another brand...
