Qualcomm used to be good but after the 820 they havent had anything good... they are old news.

Apple A series, Huaweis Kirin and Samsungs Exynos are all better.

Especially Apple and Huawei who implement tech first, they both have 7nm chips while Snapdragon wont have a phone with it running for another few months. Not good at all

They are changing the name to imply that it is a bigger upgrade than usual and also to hype it up as something new and different. They will advertise it as a new type of advanced SoC, and make bold and ambitious claims regarding it's performance & AI features ... I can predict it with confidence.

I don't believe in Qualcomm anymore except in their modems. They plateau'd in 2014. Since Apple's A9 chip, Snapdragon SoCs have fallen behind ever since. Only reason iPhone X lost in speed tests last year was because iOS11 was an abomination.

Also 8th gen i3 is faster than 7th gen i5. Food for thought.

Benchmarks are used for assessing it's preformance, Real thing important is Real life preformance!

Kiyasuriin, 05 Oct 2018How would you name it then? ^^;Doing something like Apple does.
The naming scheme is so easy, that even an idiot would know that A10 Fusion is faster than A9.
Qualcomm, on the other hand, is very confusing. People might infer the SD801 to be better than SD710, because 801>710 mathematically speaking
