The 7nm SD 8150 & Exynos 9820 chipsets are more or less on par with the Kirin 980 and Apple A12 Bionic chipsets.

For gaming and many else Kirin preforms a lot better SD845 as well.

Samsung is the company that loves to go nutz in their SoCs. so I think SAMSUNG should take the step. but the royalties of qualcomm are really expensive though. ^-^;

Compared to Kirin 980 is like when we compare SVOOC charger made by Oppo and apple charger,
So whos looking for quality will grab Oneplus Xiaomi Oppo etc.
Others who just dont know what to do with money will buy Samsung.

I think the only reason Samsung is behind in AI tech is because their Bixby is not well received so, they probably didnt think its worth developing too much.

Well the AI means nothing to average consumer, though it sounds cool.
It is important for tech enthusiasts though.
Apple is currently leading, Huawei is desperatley trying to match them and are currently on second place.
Samsung might change the game now. But they will have to seriously push their envelope to top the Apple.
