09 October 2018
The AnTuTu benchmark score is measurably better than the current Snapdragon 845-powered flagships.

    Benchmark testing is useless..

It wil not say anything of how a Phone perfoms.
when i compare mine honor 9 vs huawei p20 then the p20 has a higher benchmark rating but in real life they will feel and perform the same.

Here is Huawei making one of the most powerful chipsets in the world and you people are like "FKing Chinese crap, Bionic / Snapdragon is the best". Like wtf? do you own tocks of Apple or Qualcomm? why the heck do you even care then?

These are not candies people, they are some of the most advanced pieces of technology in the world. This can only increase the competition between all developers and push them all to develop better products so it is us consumers that win.

A cpu that that a 7mm lithography, would be as large as a house! And would generate heat equal to that of a truck, when you're inside the engine.
The difference between mm and nm is 1,000,000 btw. Do note!

Anonymous, 09 Oct 2018Mi blackshark got 290k score on antutuYup just saw that because it backed up by the 8gb of ram. Still most of SD845 devices normally topped at 260k.

Isn't Huawei famous for faking benchmark scores? Yeah, don't trust this as well.

Apple's dominion is irrelevant, the OS they are running is not multitasking and it can focus on one task completely, thus giving the iPhones an unfair advantage, plus iPhones usually have lower res and it's easier for the CPU+GPU+RAM combo to perform like that.
They should create a neutral OS to run inter-OS tests
The important thing is the 7mm. This is arguably a jump in technology and it happens once every 2 years or so, so it's prolly the nest moment to invest for anyone planning to upgrade.
In the Android world, the first available 7mm devices will start selling in late quarter of 2019 for Samsung and 2nd q for the rest. So Huawei here has a huge advantage for bringing this technology so early.
5 months without competition and by the time competition arrives, the current flagships will have upper mid-range he's prices.
This is imo their best moment of their history!

Wait, wasnt 260,000 score number is norm on SD845 device? I never saw they topped up to 290k on antutu benchmark.

And 260k to 310k is huge difference. Before this Kirin 980 leak score are 360k, now they must turn off the performance mod from accused been cheating lol, hence the 310k.

Nevertheless, its impressive. Cant wait for the real life test.

umm last time i see iphone xs max have 360k antutu score (50k more than this mate 20)

The Huawei/Kirin haters really make me facepalm sometimes...

Anyways, the results seem pretty impressive to me. Even if there is a boost involved, Huawei has promised to allow user-control over it. Meaning you can use the boost feature on demand whenever you want rather than it being used to boost benchmark scores only.

The thing i like most about Huawei is that they've been improving at a supersonic speed. Few years ago, Kirin chips weren't in the same league as SD/Exynos, and now they are not only competing but also outdoing them. If Huawei keeps up this pace, then it's not long before they start a league of their own like how Apple has done with their phones & SoC. You can deny it, but you can't ignore it.

EnthusiastK, 09 Oct 2018lool... half a year?? its only two months until the S8150. ... moreIt doesn't matter when SD8150 gets announced. What matters is when the first SD8150 phone will launch, and that won't be until March or April. Samsung is always the first to launch the latest SD chips on their phone, and S6 & S7 launched in Apr, while S8 & S9 launched in Mar.

Mate will launch in Oct-Nov. So it will get 5-6 months of top-spot until the next Samsung (with SD8150) supposedly dethrones it.

Next time, calculate before you speak.
