I'm neutral when it comes to iPhone/Pixel phones - I have no preference for either, but after all the leaks and hype, the Pixel 3 is extremely underwhelming.

I must have missed the 'surprise'. This is exactly what the leaks have suggested.
WAY too expensive for the camera and software updates. $900 can get you, sure, not vanilla android but the Note 9 with 6GB of RAM, microSD card, headphone jack, a solid camera, and better battery.
Well done Google. You ruined a good chance at a good phone.

I had high hopes and have always been interested in Pixel phones but as of now I have zero interest in even testing one of these in store.
Why keep almost all the same specs and still throttle down the cpu? To save battery???
Somebody needs to give their r&d department a severe suspension or hire completely new staff.

The most disappointing thing to me is that it uses the exact same camera sensor as Pixel 2s. Surely a phone focused on photography should've gotten an upgrade in that department, yeah?
I know the image quality will likely be better than Pixel 2s, but it would be due to improved software processing, which Google could've also provided for the Pixel 2s (but wouldn't, as the Pixel 3 has to have a better imaging capabilities than Pixel 2 in order to sell). It's not cool IMO.

So basically Pixel 3 XL 128 gb is similarly priced as Note 9 at launch. Now you can even get Note 9 for 900$ and that is not helping Pixel's case here. You have to be a die hard Pixel fan to even consider it. It's a damn ugly phone. Youtubers will love it as usual all because of its camera.

All this waiting for this to be announced? I thought we would get a "great" upgrade from the Pixel 2. Glad i finally left Android and got the iPhone xs Max. Didn't think i would joining the iPhone bandwagon but so far i'm happy i did. iMessage and Airdrop is what finally made the switch for me. Most in my circle are iPhone user and i was the dark sheep in the rear vouching for Android, specifically the Pixel branch of phones. This is a snooze.

This pixel 3 and pixel 3 xl is so expensive! And boring design.
I know they are good on their camera but still no 4K 60fps???
We are on going 2019 but google pixel still on 2017 specs :(Q
For $800-$900usd + tax this will be a BIGGEST flop for this year.

What a waste of money for those that choose buy this phone. I should have my head void before buy that ugly overpriced ones. Another brand in the Apple line. Where is the revolutionary surprise? The common wireless charging or the small batteries that they are using like Apple? Yup
