It's never too early for a spicy rumor but this time it might be.

If this turns out to be true, then Samsung just lost a long time customer. I promise.

They should make new standard, which is smaller (1.5mm for example). They should make new standard durable and bend resistant. Or make microUSB headphones. That would be much better than removing jack.

The thinnest smartphone in the world is Vivo X5 Max (4.75mm thick), and it has 3.5 headphone jack.

And also, USB/3.5mm adapters are too bulky for a phone. They could damage USB port over time.

No one uses the 3.5 reliq anymore. The poor souls that comment here buy 200$ phones and dream of the S or Note series. Real buyers of these top dogs own wireless bose or sennheiser headsets. Nobody from the consumer space needs or wants more wires. Sure, there’s also the poor folks, quite a lot of them I would say. To them I say: no worries my friends, you’ll still get your jack in the oppo, vivo, xiaomi copies of the samsung.

Ok... lets say 70 million use wireless.... that still leaves a few billion who don't.

If it happens it will be another stupid decision just to follow apple.
I might just stay with my S8+ for a while longer

When this happens I hope they'll also include Wireless earphones in the box in addition to the dongle.
If they do remove the headphone jack anyway I'll just buy the last phone with the feature and hold on to it for as long as possible.

I've been tempting to buy LG flagship for some time, if Samsung made such decision, I will definitely switch over

Relax guys... These are just preliminary reports that suggests so... However, Samsung may listen to the Customer's mood later... You never know...

Its still have 10 months to bash them up when they finally decide it... Till then Enjoy Note 9 and upcoming Galaxy 10... :)

No Headphone jack is an instant deal-breaker for most of the Android users even if they use wireless headphones. 3.5mm jack is essential to those users who don't want wireless headphones as they have to charge it after hours of usage. Note 9 is already a perfect phone as an example, so keep the next flagships like this. The battery is just fine and balanced at 4000mAh, Do not remove the headphone jack, it's straight deal-breaker.

Sadly compromising audio jack is gonna be adaptation from major OEMs to make more room for other components in order to achieve bezeless. But no notch please. Waterdrop notch is acceptable as seen in Essential phone.

No no no no! Don't do that Samsung. You don't need to remove 3.5mm jack to increase batty. The current note 9 has achieved the best balance between battery and features, so keep that way, or you LOSE CUSTOMERS

First the article about Google forcing gestures, now this. Not a good day at all.
Hopefully, just like rumours of S8/Note8/S9/Note9 ditching the jack were wrong, even this turns out to be false after all!

Wireless headphones are becoming popular so lets remove the most universal audio out which you can find everywhere around you.
I wonder if manufacturers are that stupid or just the people who buy their products.
I have a jack on my phone and hey my phone must be very innovative because i can also use wireless headphones which i need to charge every 2days.
I can even charge my phone and wireless headphones and in the same time i can use wired headphones without waking up my baby.
Yes i know thats magic maybe im coming from the future to have such an incredible technology.
Can you imagine wireless headphones and headphone jack + a big battery just mind blowing and yes its only one third of 1000 dollars :)
But hey maybe removing features instead of adding is very innovative and cost a lot of R&D so price must reach 2000 soon maybe even remove the screen i hear vr glasses are becoming popular.
What do i know im just a simple peasant from the future :)
