It's never too early for a spicy rumor but this time it might be.

Kiyasuriin, 10 Oct 2018There is. Actually. XD And it costs 20$ for the cheapest. ... moreFor a pair of 500 dollar headphones you'd probably want something capable of 24-bit/192kHz bandwidth. Bluetooth won't do that but a proprietary wireless transmitter, like the ones used for some gaming headphones, probably would.

        Samsung, don't do it.
I want to use wired headphones with Note10

I chose Moto z play over Moto z because of the 3.5 mm jack
And I will keep picking up the phones that will feature me it till I become out of options.

            New year, same fake rumour.
Browse back through the years and you'll find this exact same write-up about the S9, S8, S7, S6 and probably even the S5.

Of course all manufacturers will ditch the 3.5 audio connector. People will destroy their usb-c connector much faster if they listen mysic at headphones daily. People will loose or tear their usb-c to 3.5 mm adaptor. People will buy expansive genuine usb-c headphones, not all chinese 5$ fake clones. The removal of 3.5 mm jack will empty our pockets. So the best thing to do is to buy a dedicated mp3 player like Fiio, with a strong headphones amplifier on the 3.5 mm audio output, with audio performance very far away from mobile phones.

And it costs 20$ for the cheapest. Just buy a bluetooth 3.5mm jack unit and you're good.
And there are adapters which include USB C to splitter USB c+3.5mm for as low as 10$.

Don't do this Samsung, you're the only major player that provides the convenience of a headphone jack and expandable storage. Don' follow what others did, these small features do impact your fanbase.

Vergil666, 10 Oct 2018there are just too many cons for audiophiles like myself, l... moreThe audio quality over Bluetooth is so bad compared to what the Sabre DAC in LG phones can produce with decent headphones that I don't even find it worthy of wearing off my hearing by listening to such a terrible experience.
I don't think there's such a thing as crazy audiophiles who can hear what others can't, only people who have no clue what they're missing due to shitty audio equipment, mastering and compression.

LG will probably follow and introduce the "quad dac dongle"

Please invent a wireless adapter for the wired headphones and a wireless receiver for that one USB-C port. That way, we can turn our $500 wired headphones into wireless.

I'm accepting your logic if its even 1%, but I think its somewhere around 0.001%... Let's do proper research guys.
And by the way, 3.5mm jack means you can still have bluetooth headphones. There's no restriction.

Samsung are free to implement research software in S10, and see how many users plug in headphones.
And compare it with those who use gimmicks like wireless charging, fingerprint sensor, etc...

I hope S10 has 3.5mm jack, it should have. If S11 doesn't have it, then S10 will be my phone for a long time....
