Now this news comes. With this type of track record anything is possible. What about a notch in GALAXY S11

So Finally Samsung accept the trend of apple introduced in iphone 7 in 2016.
They will also use Apple's ugly notch i can bet :-(

"So far Samsung has withstood the pressure of removing the headphone jack so far and because of that - and the microSD card support - its reputation has greatly improved among the Android faithful."

This is absolutely true and Samsung knows it. They even specifically mentioned it in the upgrade to Galaxy videos. They learnt from the mistakes of the S6, listened to the customers and improved the phones from the next series onwards. I don't think Samsung will go against this and repeat the mistakes that other makers are doing. Hopefully, they will always be there giving us the best, most complete smartphones like the Note9 with the 3.5 mm jack and the microSD card slot.

Nicknam, 11 Oct 2018Jack sized 1.5mm doesn't exist, but it would be much smalle... moreUSB headphones exist. The problem is that charging while using USB headphones requires a bulky adapter, if it's even possible. USB 3 supports this but Qualcomm charging doesn't. And yes, music over BT still sounds like crap.

Sales are down because the software is bloated with nagware, promised security updates are regularly skipped, and repair costs are high. Surely customers will be happier if all positive hardware features are removed so it's just another dumb shell of glass, but costing 2x other dumb shells of glass.

Android manufacturers seems to hate the overall android experience and are doing everything they can to make sure the difference between iPhones and Android smartphones is as small as possible. And they are wondering why their sales are not good enough? Well duh. If we want and Android phone, that's because we don't like the iPhones and we want something different. Not the usual user-hostile policy of crippling the phones as much as possible.

IMO 3.5mm jack is a good reason for many people to stick to Samsung.
I wonder how accurate are these customer demand/feedback from these agencies like one mentioned above.

I am not sure if USB headphones exist, but they would be much better solution than USB/3.5mm adapter. If everyone is going to remove jack, better start making USB headphones + software support.

I don't really care about headphone jack, but a lot of people are angry, when their favourite brand removes it.

Now all they have to do is remove Android and we have the ideal phone.... Ugly, useless and very expensive. Samsung is imitating Apple once more...😅

I hope someone come up with a petition to discourage Samsung from ditching the 3.5mm jack on Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy S11.

Oh Shit. This is the end of headphone jack. Fk you Samsung. Fk all the smartphone manufacturer which ditch the headphone jack

Now with no headphone jacks i'm 100% not buying a "flagship" ever. And if mid-rangers lose the 3.5mm jack, i'll start buying the cheapest phones possible.

If samsung removes the jack , i guess they would like the rest of the smartphone companies that force things down your throat whether you like it or not .
