It's never too early for a spicy rumor but this time it might be.

First, companies are adapting to the future with no ports, no headphone jack, no USB port eventually, etc. etc. If companies want just money, why do they include the adapter in the box? Believe it or not, you can still use 3.5mm headphones with the included adapter, or... just buy one, $10 branded, and there are literally $2 adapters on eBay. If someone has money to buy a phone with no headphone jack, they sure as hell have money to buy a $2 adapter.

But we all know lack of space is not really a problem and that's not why they are removing the jjack anyway.

Anonymous, 11 Oct 2018NOPE. In your dreams.Hahahahahahahahahahaha. I just love how companies are attacking something, but they themselves are massive hypocrites. They are going to remove it, sooner or later. Mark my words. Embrace the future, my friend.

Don't be so blind. It's nothing but companies taking away options while still increasing the prices and trying to get you to buy more expensive accessories on top of it.

Anonymous, 11 Oct 2018One more comment and it will reach 200 comments. Like it or... moreFans will, but not all smartphone users are "fans" - many of them just want a feature reach and functional phone and will refuse to buy it. Nowadays, if you don't want a top camera, you don't even need a flagship as everything else is already good enough in mid-rangers.

Lots of people in Europe and India need second sim slot, so for them it's like they don't have an SD slot. I hate i'm constantly having to free space on my 64GB phone and not being able to use an SD slot (Ditching the second sim would be an even bigger compromise).

At least Samsung still one of the manufactures to have expandable storage option.

And poor batteries (Yea they fixed this to some extent with the Note 9, but you don't regain people's trust in such a short time, especially with the Note 7's exploding batteries).

Hell no, don't take that 3.5 mm port away.. Samsung can at least be the ONE to stand out amongst the rest who does have an ear for the vast majority. Samsung should retain what can be exclusive to them.. If they do remove it, they'll have to get it back... Remember what happened when they chose to take away the SD card slot from the S6 series..?

Android manufacturers seem to hate everything Android and Android ecosystem is supposed to represent. They are doing everything they can think of to make sure their devices are as similar to iPhones as possible. And then they wonder why sales are down. Well, duh. People either want an iPhone, OR they hate what it stands for and want exactly the opposite (More features/functionality/flexibility). In they can't get it, they'll just stick to their older phones or they'll buy something cheaper and not a flagship.

Everyone here is so concerned about the jack but i do believe no one buys a phone because it has a jack.

Wireless earphones will keep getting better and cheaper and more efficient and so need for headphone jack is not there.

Kudos to samsung for still keeping it and giving time to make switch to wireless.

After the huge disappointment i:e Pixel 3, i have high hopes from s10 to really make a strong android phone which can compete with iphone xs.
