Proprietary storage expansion form factor, you are looking at increased costs and a lock into their ecosystem. Junk.
It would still be passable if it wasn't for the horrible UI they layer on top of core Android. Vivo, Oppo, Hauwei are all pure trash UIs. Samsung and Xiaomi are somewhat bearable.

Beautiful phone, huge battery, expandable storage (I hope the card price isnt ridiculous), under display fpr, probably the best camera phone ever..
I'm sold! I wanted P20 pro, but I'll buy mate 20 pro instead after its price goes down after a few months. Maybe next year.. let's wait for the review.

Planning to get the Pro version, but afraid the in-display fingerprint reader is not decent enough. Confused whether I should get Mate 20 Pro or wait for Galaxy S10+.

The front of this device looks like retarded galaxy note 9. I understand the need of a notch in cheaper phones that imitate iPhone but if Huawei is seriously trying to compete with High-end Galaxy lineup they need design better looking phones. Apple already knows the notch is not a good feature since sales are disappointingly low.
Huawei should make more diverse high-end devices to really take the market share from both apple and samsung and only way to do it is to cater for both audiences.
Those who want to pose with latest iPhone imitation go for mid tier flashy looking device with mediocre specs and Huawei has that already covered. Other potential customers are the ones coming from highend samsung or other android who will not go for notched screen or tolerate the lack of headphone jack.
I do not see the market in expensive iphone imitations because at that point why not just go for the real Apple.

Wow. Every features listed makes the phone tally along with the price. Its one heck of a phone.
Will get the vanilla Mate 20 though. I know here in Malaysia the price of the Pro version will be $870 max & vanilla version $700 max. Cross fingers.

Its not same, they use ultra wide angle for mate 20 and dont have bnw sensors

Same camera setup as the P20 Pro. I hope they've improved the computational processing. I feel the sensor combination has scope for even better photos. DXO Mark labs is looking at serious wet dreams
