ok Apple fan boys, just continue to bash Nokia's problems in N97... And ignore the fact symbian has come a long way to Belle. I just mentioned that for those blinded Apple fan boys who just know that Elop has brought WP to Nokia, but forget there has been a new OS (symbian^3) with 2 major updates since he joined Nokia.

Blankman, 12 Nov 2011If you drop ANY phone, there's a risk of smashing. I suppos... moreSo you expect all the people in the world, some few MILLIONS who bought the iPhone 4 and 4S, will not drop their device at all? I don't mean by juggling it, that's an idiotic overexaggeration, but accidental drop.. and yes, apple never claim it is shatter proof, nor did i said that..

Why gorilla glass is there protecting my device is to protect my device against accidents, just like seatbelts and helmets.. so are you saying that we should just use a waist belt in our cars and drive at 10mph to avoid accidents? Your reasoning are at most laughable.. and what about casings/screen protectors people use for their devices? Are you saying that they should not use that because they in the first place should not drop their expensive brittle $600 phone? Manufacturers do spend their time, mkney and effort to better protect their devices.. look at moto R310, defy, SE Active, etc.. they have protections way above the standard you would expect from a smartphone.. and that's for two things, first is to protect the hardwares inside, second is for the assurance for the users..

          Sooo????

The iOS 5.0.1 didn't make much of a different since i never had battery problem, my iPhone lasts for about 12 hours of light usage, or 8 hours of heavy usage like 3D games and intanse browsing, that's a bit less than iPhone 4's battery but it's still excaptable.

Anonymous, 12 Nov 2011lol "stronger glass" that cracks and scatters whe... moreExactly.. well said.. while i don't say that iOS is a bad software/OS (well, certainly it is one of the best out there) but as a hardware product, iPhones are not up to standard.. i told my gf not to drop her iPhone, ever.. but i have dropped my Desire S numerous times, often its screen goes first onto a sharp edge of a table and it still scratch free.. the only problem is the body gets some paint chips, that's all.. no dents whatsoever.. why can't apple put gorilla glass in their iPhone? I think that will make it even a stronger competitors in the market, pun intended.. i always thought that iProducts are about user experience.. but what an experience a user will have with a shattered screen?

Lies... "However, even though a majority of the users are reporting an improvement in battery life..."

According to Apple-forums... The situation is even worse now. People are asking for a downgrade to Ios 5.0. Previously nonaffected users are reporting problems. Worthless phone now... Big mp3-player.

Blankman, 12 Nov 2011If you drop ANY phone, there's a risk of smashing. I suppos... morelol "stronger glass" that cracks and scatters when you accidently drop your phone, but it's okay because it is never meant to be durable for that situation.

it sounds like someone says we don't need any safety features in our cars, because they aren't meant to be crushed regardlessly.

It may oonvince fanboys, but when we, most of customers, pay some decent money for a handset and expect some level of quality. Apple fails to offer that quality as Gorilla glass instead they use cheap poor quality glass for $600+ phone.

Just wait for a miricle, not for an other update, iphone 4s owners lol. No update can solve any battary problem... Its just the way 4s is.
My Galaxy s2 is using only about 50% of battary life for period of 12 hrs time of normal use ( internet using, checkin emails, news reading, playing few games...) Im so happy with that.

[deleted post]Yeap, i mean, iPhones are smartphones, they bound to be battery suckers.. eslecially with dual core iPhone 4S.. dim your display for goodness' sake.. turn off wifi when 6u are on the bus.. turn off your 3G when not needed.. don't keep on checking up and turning on your phone every 5mins eventhough there is no SMS at all.. the phone will ring if there is any! I told my gf to do that and her iPhone 4 can last more than 15hrs a day.. and yes, she can still check her facebook.. and those who says android has battery problem "feature", tell you what, my android can last more than your iPhones.. it's all about how smart you use your phone.. after all, not many smartphone users are actually as smart as their phones..

I don't hate apple products, i just hate fanboys, both from apple and android, who keep on bashing each other.. before you all make claims against each other, get your facts rights..

Sick of fanboys.. boys will be boys..

Anonymous, 12 Nov 2011That plastic isn't cheap.. the word plastic sounds cheap.. ... moreIf you drop ANY phone, there's a risk of smashing. I suppose you like to juggle your expensive device?

Apple NEVER claimed that it was shatter proof. They merely said it was stronger glass. Not as good as Gorilla glass, but ALL glass is a brittle material. If you're clumsy enough to drop a $600+ device then perhaps you should stop moaning and insure your device to begin with.

Android fanboys and idiots who dropped the iphone onto concrete in tests perpetuated this myth.

Blankman, 12 Nov 2011Why does the fact that other companies provide technology m... moreThat plastic isn't cheap.. the word plastic sounds cheap.. but in fact it is more expensive than some metals.. it is engineered plastic.. and obviously more expensive and tougher than glass of the iPhone.. and plastic is more flexible than metal, which is maleable, and definitely more durable than glass that is brittle.. flexibility of engineered plastic can act as a cushion when the device takes a drop and it increases the impulse so the force will be reduced.. metal does not provide that, but instead it provides hard shell for the components inside.. what about iPhone glass? It is not Corning's glass, it shatteres when it plunges.. does it increase the impulse? Does it provide hard shell for inner components? No..
So shut up if you don't know anything about material engineering.. that iPhone glass is merely for cosmetics, not for protection..
And i'm not a SGS2 user.. i'm just telling you iPhone fanboys that plastic doesn't mean cheap.. glass that shatters easily is what defines cheapo..
