Shanti Dope, 17 Oct 2018With the topic of 5G networks, I just want to laugh and cry... more4G is the problem. For every 4G tower that will be replaced by 5G it will have great improvement. The 4G netword in the places I've been in the Philippines simply don't have enough capacity for it's users, but 5G will multiply this capacity by alot so it should be pretty good once the rollout starts in 2019.

Zendroid, 17 Oct 2018Smart is better though. At least in the southern half of ph. This is not true. I used my galaxy s8 with carrier aggregation and connected to globe using LTE SIM CARD with the LTE band of 41. either you are in a congested area or you're using crappy phone.

While true what you say, it barely makes enough difference to register. Instead it future proofs your phone.

The more RAM your phone has, the more battery life it consumes and it generates more heat. It also drives up the cost of the phone.

Shanti Dope, 17 Oct 2018With the topic of 5G networks, I just want to laugh and cry... moreSame issue here in South Africa, LTE is working well in big cities (I am in Durban) but if I go to see my extended family in the rural, i have to rely on 3G network sometimes i even get EDGE.

                      Ddr3 ram?

But why should I hear to myself. You already know all the present and future possible uses of phones already. Let's stick to them and not add more hardware.

Also let us keep the 3.5mm jack, the bezels. While we're at it let us revert to floppy drives, heck even the screen is too trendy. Let us return to punch cards. Damn computers may be useless to. I suggest that we return to the caves and die in our 30s. Those prehistoric peoples knew best.

What a tragedy those ram wars were. They legitimately made our phones faster than ever. In the good old days I only had one app open at a time. What a great time it was.

I fear the horrors that the next such war will bring. Imagine how absolutely bad would be to have 12 or 16GB of ram. It could even allow you to throw your computer away and have your phone become your PC )especially with full Photoshop and after effects coming to android).

Imagine the horror. Having one device being better than all your rest. In the good old days we had 20 devices and they all sucked.

Shame on Xiaomi for not wanting to kleep us in the past. I'm with most gsm readers here. Regressive and miserable.

Well soon it will be was who have more TeraBytes in its phones as a DiskSpace and supports More TeraBytes as an SD Card. Then i expect same thing with the battery,
I really hope for a phone with interphased battery or thorium battery in other words one that can self replenish without needing anything else.

6 gigs of RAM is more than enough to keep Samsung's UI smooth and that says something.
But the 10 gigs of RAM, what the hell anyone would do with that?

The real truth - They should have at least add 256 gigs of RAM, mere 10 gigs is laughable.

With the topic of 5G networks, I just want to laugh and cry at the same time for my country, Philippines.
I use a 4G LTE GLOBE SIM Card (one of the biggest network providers in our country) and it can't even provide a stable network for my phone. There will be times that it's fast, but most of the time, the connection speed is next to inexistent.
What's funny is that my WiFi at home (also a GLOBE provider, 5Mbps one) also can't provide stable internet connection.

By the time that 4G becomes stable here, other countries would be enjoying 12G already.

"Let's face it, 10GB of RAM is excessive, and will likely mostly serve as bragging rights"

Absolutely true. While I appreciate useful innovation, having 10 GB of RAM will just spark the next, unnecessary RAM war in the smartphone market.
