2 - On other screens, it needs some proper tweakings, because most probably the video is in BT.2020 standard, which your MacBook can't display.

3 - Lens flare is caused by relatively smaller aperture. Its corner sharpness, however, is better than the Note 9.

4 - The jack is great and all that, but I simply want to know why it's not acceptable for Sony not to have the jack, but Apple could easily get away with not having one, all for almost twice as much price.

5 - I am the real user of this account, and I'm speaking up for what's real here. You people have made it seem as if Sony is never allowed to price their phones at $900 when they are very compelling and provide better experience than most (it has no notch, and front camera is pretty much the greatest that we've seen for a flagship).

    I'm by no means a professional guy, but I see what I see, and the XZ3 indeed has the better display.
    We aren't forgetting the fact that this is Sony's FIRST OLED Xperia against Apple's second generation OLED iPhone and Samsung's ninth generation OLED Galaxy flagship.
    How about we wait for the XZ3 Premium and we'd start to talk again?

          4K is slowly but surely becoming the new standard resolution, and if you think people don't use this feature, then why the heck do OEMs still include them??

          Maybe you don't use them, but I do, and that's the main point of paying extra cash for supposedly "better" flagship devices.

Sony, removing the jack, just because someone else did, is the exact indication of the things that they had lost interest in their smartphone business, which is dying a slow death. Sony, apart from everything, is a company which has a rich heritage in Audio, and them removing jack is quite unexpected. I can only expect one way their flagships can sell better at this price, that's to bundle every phone with their TOTL wireless headphone, WH1000x2/3.

So do you mean we dont need to press the button to take a pic in camera app anymore? Do we just need to point the phone towards point of interest? I never thought even Sony's own mirrorless or DSLRs could do that! Wow. Such a great tech inside an XZ3, you just need to point the camera at something and it automatically takes a pic!

                                        -More RAM is always better if the software is equally optimised.
                                        -GPU is roughly the same on both Kirin 980 and SD845, in some tests Kirin does better but in others SD845 wins out. And you need to consider the fact that the power efficiency on the new Kirin chipset is vastly superior due to improved manufacturing process.
