Now this is a CEO!!. Not the jokers you have over at OnePlus or Lienovo who are only good at making excuses.

So, all there forgot ask him how is posible that some mid-range phones have more features that their flagships..... And the Watch GT is also an oriented sports watch... so where is the "back to start" and "navigation/route guidance" features for trail running, cycling, etc...? They partner with Firstbeat and don't have even a competent engineer with the knowledge in sports forgetting those importat features¿?¿?

"Yes, you can see this (Mate 20 X) is a better experience than [the Switch] for the young people. I don't have time to play games myself but this is a better gaming solution for young people."

      FACEPALM

By that extension, every other phone out there is a better experience than the switch because all of them DO THE SAME THING.

But we all know that no phone is better than a dedicated console. This is Huawei talk show all over again.

They put a lots of hope in the NMC ... And I personally hope they will fail. Why another company should move onward NMC where MicroSD is a rather fine standard and moreover, free ? Yes, NMC is free now, but as they say, the rights are theirs, so when they want to charge you (meaning, other companies), they can. And surely will !

Seems like a trap ? Then it's a trap. Don't compare this with Hybrid Dual SIM tray where it was a great "invention", compared to this which is not needed.

My friend works for Huawei. He said that the reason why Huawei is not present at US market is following: US authorities demanded blueprints and technology behind Kirin processors. Huawei does not want to give them that. That's the problem.

Nano Memory is simply a bad idea. It will not become standard. You have perfectly good (and cheap) SD card standard. Why change it? NM is more complicated, more expensive and not compatible with old standard. Only advantage of Nano Memory it's size, but regupar SD cards are also very small, so that is not an actual advantage.

Finally, I agree with a lot that he said regarding cameras. Three is an absolute maximum and 4, 5, 6 is overkill. In this department "more does not mean better". Only complaint is when he compared naturally aspired 6 cyl engine with 4 cyl bi-turbo. That's just nonsense...6 cyl engine is much better and superior. Sound, response, longetivity, charisma and prestige are much better. So his comparison does not work.

But, as a longtime user of all the sorts of smartphones, I can say that Huawei products are the best. They never break, never overheat, have great battery life and smooth work in general.
Especially now when Huawei also became more stylish than before.

            AnonD-558092, 23 Oct 2018The A9 2018 isn't even on sale yet and this guy here says i... more4 lower-end sensors cost less than 3 high-end sensors...
also there is difference in photo quality...easy to understand...?
no reason to be salty on IP protection of phone that you don't want in first place???

AnonD-558092, 23 Oct 2018The A9 2018 isn't even on sale yet and this guy here says i... moreReally? U call him cheap? He makes money more in a day than u make money in a year.

What he means by Mate 20x better gaming experience because it got it all in one package. Sure it was not in all aspects but some part it is.

Droping the water certificate in Mate 20 so that it can be cheaper. Doesnt all smartphones do that in their lower flagship variant? So whats to complain? Some company even make it a lot worse.

Complaining is not suit with your 'Pro' naming. Really.

Who ever transcribed his answers is a god, his intonation is painful, please hire someone to do your keynotes / unveiling please! Also I hope nano sd doesn't take off, there is nothing wrong with the current form factor and all I foresee is a price hike for the sake of a slight shrink in size.

Just see the stance on nanocard, they really want to market the unnecessary
In short, every answer he give is just a crappy justification

The A9 2018 isn't even on sale yet and this guy here says it has lower quality. That guy isn't serious at all. He just assumes that because it's not a flagship, it has lower quality image. This is speculation, coming from a CEO. That guy is bogus.

"Yes, you can see this (Mate 20 X) is a better experience than [the Switch] for the young people. I don't have time to play games myself but this is a better gaming solution for young people." Lol. He clearly doesn't know what he's talking about. No, a phone isn't a better gaming experience than a Switch. It's not a bigger screen that makes a device a gaming device. Nintendo has proven that the SoC isn't what makes a device a gaming device.

"The Mate 20 Pro and Mate 20 X are IP67 or IP68, why is the Mate 20 only IP53?

We could have made it IP68, but IP53 is enough protection from water damage for most people who might drop the device in water and quickly fish it out, it'll be okay. IP53 is also a little bit cheaper."
Wow just being cheap. Just to avoid consumers making claims about the superior IP68 protection, they chose a lower protection. Man Huawei is cheap
