nik.007, 23 Oct 2018Pixels have always been bad in speedtests. People buy stock... moremost ppl choose pixel because of the updates, camera and no bloatware. I mean you can get a better hardware for that price sure yeah, but most cheaper phones with flagship hardware update like a year later and then stop completely to update the phone like e.g. my Mate 10 pro which is still stuck on 8.0.0. or Meizu, Lienovo and ZTE. At least i get 1 major update fo rmy mate 10 but the other mentioned will be stuck at Oreo forever

Heh serves them right! Why can't they just understand that they're not Apple? Any phone with 4GB of RAM or less wasn't even enough for 2016 & 2017 and now they're still using it in the second half of 2018? Ridiculous and outright stupid.

The Pixel fanboys who are defending this should realize that they're acting exactly like Apple fanboys who do the same thing (defending insufficient specs). Neither phone should've launched with 4GB of RAM, but the performance disadvantage of it will be much more apparent on Android due to the way the OS works.
Pixel 3s are the most under-powered flagship phones of the year, and running stock Android isn't going to make a big difference.

I didn´t expect anything else, it is obvious that the A12 beats the hell out of the SD845. Maybe the Kirin 980 will perform a lot better that SD

Great. A speed test between two pricey phones that have big intrusive screen notches, 4GB RAM, no 3.5 mm headphone jack, no microSD card slot and an unituitive gesture navigation instead of intuitive software buttons.

The 2xl was good in speed test except for the ram part, like all the pixels it needs to reload apps...

Thats a LIE.
If we make a charging speed test Google 3XL wins by a Millions of miles.
Where XS Max will have 17% in 30 minutes Google 3XL will have like 75% after an hour Google Pixel 3XL will be fuly charged where apple will still remains on charger with maybe 30%. So in Hour a fully charged Google Pixel 3XL can last 2-3 days where after hour apple XS Max will last maybe 3-6 hours with 30% of battery.

It's a shame to see the Pixel 3 getting such bad reception back. The Pixel 2 was one of the best phones of last year and it just seems like Google put very little effort into the 3.

I'm seriously asking myself if the pixel 2 xl is not faster than the 3 cause i remember last year it was a good concurrent to the iPhone in terms of speed.
This year it's a big mess, i was so embarrassed when i was watching it. Google want us to switch to the iPhone i guess :-(

The Pixel devices, are putting Android to shame. Ugly design, Poor RAM management, Noise distortion in bottom speaker, big notch. I don't Pixel is a smartphone but a smart camera.

I think a test like that would be more useful if it was about using apps, not just opening and switching between them. Users spend more time using apps than opening them.
For example, in Facebook, the test could search for a particular user, then send a message to them, and attach a photo. This could be automated too, so that the robot can do it. And similar stuff could be done with other apps.
I think that would make a test like that much more useful.

Pixels have always been bad in speedtests. People buy stock androids because "it is faster" than custom roms, but the Pixels, the flagships among stock androids, are always beaten in speedtest, they are worse than even MIUI totting flagships by Xiaomi. Stock Android is slower, lacks features, restrictive, has as many bugs as any other custom rom, but still, "Stock android is better"!!!! I mean, why!!!!!

Google only have themselves to blame. Just about anyone who knows anything about Android knows 4GB won't cut it in 2018. Apparently that doesn't include Google!
