28 October 2018
The early models added impressive features like "MP3" and "TFT", later models tried their best to emulate smartphones.

Alas big companies are not really interested in developing better feature phones, look at all the variations, different form factors, and not afraid to try different ideas ... bring back fun to phones Samsung.

But I guess you haven't been playing with them or been active on the web. No s or note model have managed to have 100% battery in the morning, when you have 100% at bedtime. 10-20% are used. On what? Only Samsung knows. Worst case scenario, it have used 40-50% while you slept. If you want a good low end phone, sadly Sony compact is the only way to go.

There are soooooo many Samsung feature phones to cover. Just go to Samsung in the phone finder and have fun. I have owned dozens of them. They left out the U100 which was the slimmest at 5.9mm. Loved that phone, still have it in a drawer.

Zendroid, 28 Oct 2018But after s5 and note 3, it went all downhill for Samsung. ... moreTrue, it went downhill just for a short bit after the S5. S8 was where it goes up again with the radical design change. Ever consider looking at A or J series if you hate the curved? Also I think C series is dead. Their only reasonably priced phone for now is Galaxy A6s and that only because it is ODM phone. It have good performance, low price but ironically low quality. Lol.

Then what about Motorola and Sony Ericsson?

But after s5 and note 3, it went all downhill for Samsung. Quality got worse. Battery got worse. Screen got worse, for the worse battery. Screen got fragile with the crappy edge. Price got higher but quality didn't improve. Samsung is far from what they were. No quality, no performance and high price. Just like apple.

                    Loved this article!
One thing I've always liked about Samsung is that they weren't afraid of trying new things and form factors.
You mentioned the F300: its successor, the F500 / F510, had a similar layout but with a swiveling display.
Then the X820 (which was very fragile) had a sturdier and slimmer successor: the U100, 5.9mm!
They created a few flip phones with motorized flip (the P510 was one of them) and many phones had a sort of always on display (I had the X120).
Yes, I was a fan of their feature phones, they were a lot, many were similiar but I think no other company offered such a diverse range.

I'd like to add a small thing that always stood by me. I really don't know if this was only for the European markets, but the Samsung F480 was also called the Samsung TouchWiz. It was a very popular phone and the beginning of the TouchWiz UI as we know it.

Remember the days when Samsung offered vibrant oled or lcd screens with high densities and amazing graphics and features and at that time Nokia was selling phones with dull, low res screens with few colours and simple features, but no one cared about Samsung and everybody only was thinking to get Nokia phones which cost like twice more than any Samsung phone with same features. It kind of same situation there Apple is. Selling phones with outdated specs for laptop prices and you have much better phones cheaper. History repeats itself. Once you establish something, people wants to follow it and worship blindly. That's the way world works :)

[deleted post]Man i dont need. Samsung spend tons of money just to confirm its not working.
                                Think before you post something.
I run a mobile shop where we have much over 50 brands for sale.
Try to put a screen protector on a surved screen S9 for example.
It wont fit and even if it fit you cant use any case or it will push away your screen protector.
Try it by sself then judge.
Many of my customers said if they had to put screen protector on their own on a Samsung curved screen phone they rather buy other phone.
Unless you put 10+ each day you have no idea.

idea with full screen as finger print is the same.
I am not bashing because i hate Samsung.
I bash because i hate all the idea behind this and thinking forward.
Like a good chess players can think even 20 moves forward i am the same.

But i never had a Samsung and never plan to buy one.
Its true they are leading brand now but their innovation kills.
I mean their engineers and sciencist dont think what customers wants only what inovation should be.

Just for example curved screens and a screen protector. They are not compatible.
But this see only a person who put tons of them each day.

Or full screen fingerprint scanner. if i can loct and unlock my phone by sliding finger over the scanner then if whole screen will be finger print i will always when typing turn on and off the screen. So its a good idea which is dead even before it was invented.

                                      S800 Jet was really special.
Rest of them phones werent as that great but for its era they were better than average.
Especialy the one with in build HDD.
They should make a successor of S800 jet.
Current phones are too big and too fragile.
