Apple may have cut some corners with the screen and camera but build quality is just right.

bettlejuice, 27 Oct 2018with that price tag apple still consider it as a budget phone.The phone itself is cheap in components, but expensive due to the stratospheric benefits that Apple charge in all their products to make them artificially premium or more premium that they are, making them overpriced. And then paying people to convince others about the status or category that they transmit to you, but is a fake luxury feeling. Like wear a fake jewel.

    One of the bigger reasons Apple is so big is general public doesn't criticise it. Apple has been falsely claiming "saphhire" camera lens for years now. Youtubers, and Zack in particular, has stated this several times. But Apple never cares to address this because the general public is blinded by "It's Apple so it is the best". Even if it's some sort of saphhire mixture, even then it acts totally like any other camera lens (scratches at same level).
    Any brand should be answerable to this, but here it doesn't matter because unsuspecting customers would still buy them. Why should they stop lying when clearly the people don't care?

        I'm not sure if it's really as durable as the XS duo.

          Never in dreams I would pay $750 + $$ + $ Tax for a 720p LCD !!

              Maybe the mixing of sapphire and glass helps to make the glass less brittle. It's a real problem on phones with real sapphire cover lenses, the lens of my sisters HTC One M8 broke and now the quality is way worse.
