Samsung launches its first 512 GB microSD card for nearly €300

It has twice the capacity of a 256 GB card, but almost thrice its price.

Well the price is insane and i bet a manufacturing price is maybe 1/4 of selling price.
As has been said on XS Max review its just a same thing and the diifference between XS MAX 256 GB and 512 GB is 350 dollars.
This price is out of this world.
My Western Digital elements a 2,5 inch HDD cost now about 80-100 euros.
I reccomend to buy external hard drive and a reduction or OTG to use it with a cell phone.

                Still using Sandisk Ultra 64GB. It's enough for me as I'm not a gamer and don't use camera too often.

                  So the actual storage you can use is around 500GB.

                    People out there who's using iPhone, once you broke your phone into pieces, you cannot recover your favorite file, like your memorable photos and the porn that you saved in your phone, unless you always backup them time to time from your cloud storage.

                      Maybe you don't need an SD card for uploading silly selfies on that 2000 and late fb or to play violent games, but other people use their SMARTphones for work and other important things.
                      SD card:
                      - NO spying cloud needed
                      - NO internet connection needed (wifi or data)
                      - if the phone breaks into a million pieces, just pop up the card and insert it into a new phone.
                      Only people with ZERO technical skills and knowledge will say that the SD card slot is unnecessary.
                      I bet you think that root is a plant and jailbreak is someone who broke out of jail, right?
                      Are you sure you don't use an iPhone? :))

                        Do note something surprising. The capacity inside the card is 93.1% because we tend to think in Decimals, and technology, especially memories works in binary.
                        So. 512,000,000,000 bytes is 93.1% of 549,755,813,888 bytes. Which is the ACTUAL size of 512 GB as we know.
                        Think I'm bluffing? Take a calc and see for youself.

                                  I better buy the phone with 512 GB already on board, with up to 800 mb/sec reading speed internal memory, not bloody 90 mb/sec microsdxc. This card is useless for mobiles. Can be useful only for foto and video cameras.
