We stated how illogical it is for a tablet to remove the 3.5mm jack when there is SPACE. 3.5mm jack ain't old tech, the entire audio industry disagrees with you. 3.5mm jack is easy, convenient, no batteries needed etc. Don't tell us to use DONGLES. We Android Truthers do not use dongles as a solution. We simply buy phones / tablets that keeps the 3.5mm jack.
How is it convenient to use your face as a way to unlock, you tell us?? Remember faces can be "hacked" as well. We Android Truthers still find unlocking through Fingerprint is still way more convenient at a touch of the finger. Just go look at OnePlus 6T for under-display FPS. SD cards have different classes for different speeds (can be fast or slow), man please go read up before saying ALL SD cards are slow. And what piracy are you talking about?? There is no link between SD cards and privacy. Stop confusing the SANE readers here!!
As for gestures, we Android Truthers find use nav bar keys / Hardware keys is the MOST LOGICAL way to navigate the UI. FOR YOUR INFO, not using gestures is NOT BACKWARDS. This shows manufacturers give you a CHOICE.

Windows tablets are way too big and heavy for that. They can be carried anywhere but not used anywhere.
So you are left with ipads and android tablets. Ipad Pros are great looking, fast and expensive (I cant stand the screen gap/ reflections on the cheaper ipads). Then android tablets are more versatile, a bit cheaper but with outdated internals and making you feel like nobody cares about them, not even google.

Don't need card slot, never needed card slot. If you need more storage, just get one with more internal storage.
SD cards are slow and would serve no real purpose in iOS, as you would not be able to access any music, videos, movies, apps stored on a card slot. This is to prevent piracy. So SD cards would only be used for storing pictures and nothing else.
3.5mm jack - seriously? That is old tech for old people. Wireless earphones are much better than wired ones. And if you still want to use your old headphones, just use a usb to 3.5mm adapter. Simple stuff!
Face ID is highly more secure than fingerprint sensors. Not to mention more convenient.
Gestures are infinitely better than pressing physical buttons or buttons on a navbar. That is, once you get to start using gestures. They feel natural and intuitive compared to buttons. Nowadays, whenever I have to do something on a phone without gestures I feel like going back in time in the jurrasic times.
So stop resisting change and upgrades. These are all better than what we had until now.

And prefer it very much like that, so does my husband (yes. I'M A WOMAN! It's not a sin to be a techy woman ^^;) however we both got projects with iOS. My husband with his AR projects. (It's a hit in iOS it seems) and me with app projects meant ib iOS. I've finished the part with phone sized stuff. And now I wanna do it with iPad so I can have a fully scaled review of the project.
Do not conclude everyone are wanting to show off, there are people who buy this for true productivity available only in IOS enviroment.

Heck, even Macbooks have soldered RAM. As for hard drive upgrade? Forget it. Apple has made it virtually impossible to upgrade/replace the hard drive in the latest Macs even for the most determined of users. In fact, Apple says they're NOT upgradeable at all. Apple wants you to buy, dispose, buy, dispose, buy dispose. It's like owning a house you can't do improvements on. Can't add rooms, can't add a second garage, etc. Just buy a new house if you want more rooms or a second garage, etc. And to add insult to injury, Apple likes to exaggerate claims like in this article: claiming to potential buyers of the extremely overpriced iPad Pro that these media consumption toys can be a real laptop replacement for productivity work. The same way iPhones are promoted as dSLR or professional camera and even photo STUDIO replacements! Wow, such deception! Poor, hapless, naive die hard Apple fans who really believe the exaggerated claims and dismiss the restrictions in upgrading and user experience as just 'Apple's way', the 'walled garden' way, the 'best-TEST way' to do it for 100% benefit and 100% satisfaction to its fanatic users. Many people are willing to suffer the imprisonment that is Apple's ecosystem in exchange for being identified with the high society 'Joneses'. Never mind the suffocating experience as long as one can don a device with an Apple logo. Amazing! No wonder Apple is a trillion dollar company.

They just want to show off in public with expansive products, to make envy. They use 1800 $ ipad pro 2018 just for browsing facebook and instagram. Zero productivity. It is more flashy to show off in a fancy restaurant with an iPad instead a with serious Dell XPS or Alienware.

we are talking about full day battery life light notebook... with i7 and onboard GPU.
by the way , IPAD pro now GPU is 1000 times faster than older one in GPU , compared to xbox one s .and still works all day battery life , and does not need a fan and is just around 480 grams !!!

still the same as ipad but just make it bit bigger and call it pro
surface pro is more like a laptop in tablet hardware, with desktop OS, which exactly what I need.
not sure I could use it for software development
