Devil , 31 Oct 2018This is real innovation, not like Apple who gave us notch. apple didn't give us notch dude, they copied it from someone else as they always did with their so-called 'innovations', or in their words, 're-defined' it

According to the BBC, Royole is a California based company.
Water OS is a variant of Android.
Here's the link that I left earlier for any extra info.

foldable phones MUST fit in the pocket when FOLDED. That's the idea about it, and that's why people are excited about it because it can fit into a pocket and BE a TABLET or a BIG SCREEN phone for better media consumption, or document viewing.

M33, 31 Oct 2018I'm not buying until JerryRigEverything make a bend test.Um...It's already bended until it folds to half. :P
Kidding aside, yeah I agree. I'd like to know this phone's physical strength considering it's a pretty unknown brand.

Plastic screen looks dirty with fingerprints magnet surface, let's wait for Samsung or LG to see how they can make the plastic fingerprint magnet-free and premium feel.

Walter C. Dornez, 31 Oct 2018Facts. This tech is really hard to make and even harder to ... moreLike smartwatch and VR. Existed for a long time. Seriously, its last century tech. Only now it is taking off. Foldable phone took long enough but at least we wont wait for decades.

acemang, 31 Oct 2018curved tvs failed bad where I live. always best promos are ... morei agree. here in the philippines prices for curved tvs have dropped considerably. i was tempted to buy a curved tv a few years ago, but there was distortion and lighting glare/reflection because it reflects the lighting whichever way you look because of the damn curve. i had to sell the tv and replaced it with regular flat screen. besides, i guess we don't have alot of contents made for such way of projection on the screen to simulate a sort of wraparound view. i would understand the need for a curved monitor, but never a curved tv.

acemang, 31 Oct 2018curved displays and curved tvs are 2 different things. curv... moreagree. the screen outer layer will have to be plastic to bend, so definitely it would be prone to scratches and possibly even creases (strecth marks?) in the long run. unless of course, of course, corning produces gorilla plastic. this is far from feasible right now. i mean we may have the technology now, but material that can function with the technology has not coped up yet.

Walter C. Dornez, 31 Oct 2018I'd still withhold judgement. The problem is, this foldable... morefoldable stuff is not a new concept..only for not informed people.
2016 already saw devices with foldable screens...and I bet they were developing them for a lot more time.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPreMCCvMCs
2 years passed didn't see improvements...when they will come..they will be to late.
In 2016 screen/body racios were 65% now are 91%. With 6.5" screen do you really need more than that? My next phone will be smaller than the one I have not bigger, I regreat going to an >150mm height and >72 width. my next phone will have less than that. think about it. to have a larger screen it will need a bigger battery also. more weight and thicker device. do you really want in your pocket an 300g device and in your hand with +30mm thick?

Unless this tech can fold flat, it's dead in the water.
