FlexPai is the world's first foldable phone, first with Snapdragon 8150 too

31 October 2018
"Phone" isn't the right word for it, the screen grows to 7.8" (4:3) when unfolded.

Devil , 31 Oct 2018This is real innovation, not like Apple who gave us notch. I agree. When we looked back, most innovative first gen stuffs sucked! But they are truely something new that was not done before, not just from a process improvement perspective, but a new idea.

        M33, 31 Oct 2018I'm not buying until JerryRigEverything make a bend test.hahaha... hilarious 🤣

acemang, 31 Oct 2018curved tvs failed bad where I live. always best promos are ... moreI'd still withhold judgement. The problem is, this foldable stuff is completely new and so we don't know how it will perform. Yes, Project ARA failed, but that doesn't mean this foldable tech won't fall. There's not a market yet because many don't know if it's possible or never thought about it

            2017 notch year
            2018 camera sliders/camera count year
            2019 foldable phones year :)

[deleted post]curved displays and curved tvs are 2 different things. curved displays are for 1 person only.
curved tvs in a living room don't make sense if you don't live alone, you can't see it well if your not in dead center. I hate curved images, thats why I would never buy a samsungs galaxy because of curved glass in the corners...paying to get distorced image its not evolution for me.

Real innovation: No, this has been played with for years and is acually coming out late, the way it folds makes it way too fat.
                This is a joke

If Apple made this it would cost 13k not 1.3k

It is not just the first foldable phone, it is also the first phone with the 7nm Snapdragon processor 8150. Which means it will be a performance beast. I am guessing that this phone would have some interesting tricks up it's sleeve.

Did they just claim first without even commercially selling it? That is like only unveiling concept phone which has been done by Lenovo last year if you want to ask who really first. Rouyu Technology is more like baiting investor with unfinished product probably copied from Lenovo previous foldable phone. Look similar to me. That Snapdragon chipset though. Qualcomm havent even launched it officially. Only gave produced sampling to partners for testing and I doubt Rouyu is one of them. They even spelled it as 'Sanpdragon' on that presentation. Trying not to get sued by Qualcomm? Lol. Btw, for a new player in smartphone business that pricing and going all out for flagship phone is a big no.

No offence, but Snapdragon 8150 rumour is definitely fake just like with Mi Mix 3. Stop falling to obvious clickbait.

It is always sad that the future of some technology can decide people with their wallets. And their decision is sometimes poor. I have been using 21:9 monitor for about three years and it is mental. Can't believe that I wasn't hooked sooner. Now, I would buy curved 21:9 monitor for sure, as it partially fights against IPS glare problem.

This looks like something in alpha stages. Those transitions looked so buggy, who the f*** pays 1300$ for that.
