Im happy to repeat my prediction: the ones who been screaming for foldable displays for years are not the ones who will buy them.
They are the same crowd who been asking for higher and higher performance but each year refuse to buy the fastest phones every year: in 2016 refuse to buy iphone 7 despite it being twice as fast as everything else, then in 2017 refuse to buy iphone x, now this year refuse to buy iphone xs. These people only like to talk about “goid” things but they refuse to experience great things, theyre always making the most noise but they hide when called upon.

I have tried to fold a piece of thick paper over a 2 cm thick stick. The paper is unfolded 11x20 cm. It fits perfectly in my pocket.
My only concern is the display - is it scratch resistant?

IDK how long a foldable smartphone going be a just a plain sweetener (a better sounding for gimmick) on the already saturated of smartphone industry , but if Apple joins the party at unexpected time in the future , that sweetener status is going to be end , world's going crazy , it's innovative as it's (tho FlexPai is the first of its kind) , and then standardized in the market in no time , and other things that could happen aftermath LOL (just saying...)
P.S. I'm on the fence about foldable phone . Let's see in 2 years from now on .

I honestly just want a waterproof device that won't shatter easily and won't lag.
I don't want it to fold and I don't want it to have motorized or hidden cameras.
I also hope that foldable phones succeed since then prices of good old standard phones will drop.

When 6” phones came, people were like they are so big, large enough to keep inside pockets. After a while they started liking it. Similar to what we see in notches.
LG will stand as Winner when it comes Innovations. Introduction of secondary camera at back in G5. Instead of copying, they innovate. Let’s see this time what they’re trying to bring to the world.

A great use-case! I can't wait for this tech to become mainstream and to evolve and challenge the imagination. I for one would love to eliminate the laptop I carry with a capable phone.

Well currently foldable phones seem uselles I don't see any good reason why I would have that instead of a normal ph9ne sepecially now since you have a big screen in a compact body BUT I think that if paired with the right software OEMs can make use of foldable screens and show users that it actually worth it I mean its up to them to show us why we should have a foldable phone instead of a normal one. Probably the best phone to do that would be Samsung I mean think when they launched the Note series it was a humongus phone but it wasn't just a bigger phone it actually had tweaked software that made people want to buy it because lets be honest anyone could make a big phone in that time but just big isnt enough it has to have added funcionality and yeah we can see how the Note series turned out...So I think foldable phones might make some sense I dont know what they will be better at than lets say a Note 9 what will be different besides the screen size but we will just have to wait and see

Anonymous, 01 Nov 2018Its fordable doesn't mean you must fold. There are much better designed devices if you aren't going to fold.

How in the world are notches a gimmick? They didn't claim your phones will poop gold. They were meant to provide more screen estate, and they do. Whether you like it or not is another issue, but that doesn't make it a gimmick.
Foldable phones on the other hand, will be the most useless junk. Seriously, how the eff do you expect to use or carry it around?!
Edit: lol... Look at all the people using Anonymous accounts to support foldable screens. xD
