Those claims that they affected screens are from LG, are true. Can check the hardware used by specific code using the phone. No issues on BOE panel yet, only on LG. This is the first time Huawei using two types different panel for the same phone. Previously on their phones using Samsung OLED only.

This are almost the same issue on Iphone X earlier (pink/yellow/blue tint) using screen from LG as well. Huawei needs to upgrade their QC before releasing phones. But i can bet u can replace the phone if got affected.

Whackcar, 02 Nov 2018Actually the Mate 20 Pro uses a display made by BOE, which ... moreAccording to the post of Gsmarena some panels are from LG and some of BOE:

"And according to users, the problem is widespread among units with LG's OLED panels while handsets featuring BOE's displays don't have similar issues."

This is why I stay with Samsung >> they promiss and deliver quality

TBH, this does look bad.. With my S8+ there is some dagree of shift on the edge, but its minimal. this looks horrible..

matt99, 02 Nov 2018I got this phone and it dosnt bother me, I thought all curv... moreNope. I have two curve screen phones. And color is the same even at 90° view from the side.

According to them it's a normal behavior ?
Then, according to me that's a normal "No buy" for this phone...

              Unacceptable!
I wanted to get the Mate 20 x, Ditching S9 for the better preformance. Glad I decided to wait.
The S9 is my entertainment device. It has all my music and vids. My daily driver is the note 9.

I wonder why all the pre-release youtuber's / reviewer's got fully functioning phones and then the average consumer get's the phone that has issues???
I guess they won't lose their 'Cheap Chinese' status just yet, even though they are relatively expensive for what you get.

Weird, i have a LG V35 and i have no issues at all display is gorgeous.

Whackcar, 02 Nov 2018These isolated issues don't represent every single device. ... moreThis isn't an isolated case. I was watching one of the reviews of Mate 20 Pro on YouTube and i could clearly see the faulty screen in his phone. But the reviewer was going GaGa over the "AMAZING" screen!

Huawei/Honor pay them quite a great amount for positive reviews. Don't believe those fake people.

Anonymous, 02 Nov 2018lg display? if thats true they are low quality. Xiaomi uses... morethe mi 8 uses samsung amoled.

I guess i must have the BOE screen as i don't have this problem and just tested it now to be on the safe side.

I hate displays with curved edges, can't understand the point of them. The edges just attract reflections.

Yeah thats not acceptable. If anyone notices that in their phone, just take it back immediately.

and i was somehow thinking that every component was tested before use...screen especially?

lg display? if thats true they are low quality. Xiaomi uses lg display for few of their model too and it is shiit. Lucky to get sharp/jdi.

These isolated issues don't represent every single device. You can go out and read any reputable tech site's review of it (including GSMArena) or watch any reputable youtuber's review of it, and almost every single one of them has praised the Huawei Mate 20 Pro's gorgeous display (along with the rest of the phone). It is truly one of the best.

Isolated issues are present on every phone out there, blaming the device as a whole for it is just immature.

Huawei copy cat, 02 Nov 2018Mate 20 used Lg P-oled?? So surprised. Thought they use... moreActually the Mate 20 Pro uses a display made by BOE, which is a Chinese domestic supplier which makes good quality displays. On a quality perspective, it sits somewhere between Samsung's AMOLED (best) & LG OLED (mediocre).
