They denied it was a problem. They have released a response to ignore the Idiots over at Huawei UK who are useless. Their twitter is an absolute joke in the UK ignoring issues and only praising peoples happy comments.

[deleted post]I do not support Huaway, but tell us, oh master, a device that is not made in china? Or taiwan or india... Let's stop beeing m''ns shall we? This has more to do with what this wolrd has become, and nothing to do with china. With "milking the cow" of 21 century oem's and d'ng people that can't help themselves into stopping this utopia and restrain from buying devices like they are about to dissappear, is no wander all want to get as much as posible when it comes to money. They want this so bad that now the user is the one doing quality control.

Carol, 03 Nov 2018What? This is funny, there are people actually believing th... moreYeah, they have a box of refurbished iPhones in the store just for that purpose... Go to the "Settings" hit "General" and press "About" if the code starts with "NN..." then it's a brand new replacement device. And "MN..." will say on your new iPhone. That should settle things down.

Zendroid, 02 Nov 2018Why are you trying to make apple sound innocent? They did not cheat on benchmarks, and did not take photos with professional camera and put them out there as "selfies" with their phone. Because in my country Huawei still boasts that they have the best chipset and that they are only ones with 7nm chipset (we both know both of these claims are lie) and Huawei globally boasted to beat the A12 - then just went silent when they failed. Apple didn't really do any of these things.

How can Sony somehow get it perfectly right on their first attempt of a dual curved OLED display by getting the same exact set of panels from LG (I believe the XZ3 uses LG ones) yet these proclaimed "heavily invested into R&D" panels somehow didn't seem to have done their jobs correctly??
I'd even take the Xs Max's display over these new ones instead. The mere fact that such issues like these still exist even on $1000 worth of smartphones is already a big NO to me.
If $200 smartphones can be built nicely without major hardware failures, there's no reason for Huawei to mess such things up; definitely not on their top-of-the-line flagship beast.

After reading some of the comments here I have to agree. The way the media has been handling Apple and iPhone with kid gloves is amazing. I clearly remember my iPhone 6s getting super hot. It reminded me of Chinese white label products. And the service centre and after sales were extremely disappointing too.
The curved screen issues seem similar to the original teeting issues that Samsung has with the S7 edge. The quality of Samsung screens has improved significantly since then.
I wonder who makes the screens for Huawei.

OLED panel should never have this issue. I agree with the glue part. The problem would be one or a combination of these:
1. Cheap glue made by the display manufacturer.
2. The glue has not cured properly.
3. Questionable Quality Control of the display manufacturer.
Huawei is also a victim here, they'll lose a lot of money due to this issue but I hope that they'll assist their customers properly.
