The Nexus volume bug however has been found to be worse than originally thought, and could be a hardware bug.

what were Google thinking when they went with Samsung for their new Nexus phone...
in any case the nexus was never meant to be a consumers phone ... more like a developers phone that can be bought by enthusiast and purist...

The article makes it sound as if the problem only arises due to other nearby phones. The test using 2 phones was only intended to prove that the problem can ALSO be triggered by an externally generated signal, even while the phone is in the bootloader, thereby isolating it from Android OS proper, and increasing the likelihood of it being a hardware problem. The Galaxy Nexus' own radio can also trigger the same problem if you use it in 2G mode on 900MHz, without needing any other phones nearby.

I am also facing the same problem on my galaxy s2. Its volume going down automatically while ringer volume is full then I have to restart my mobile
