Google & Android is killing Nokia.WP7 is totally becoming backdated. They should try with Android if they want to survive in the competition.

The problem is that even with the added features Nokia put in WP7 there is still not much that sets it apart from other Windows Phones. I think that if Nokia had stuck with Meego and improved Symbian they might be able to succeed but we know that's not going to happen.

With WP7 failure is the ONLY option for Nokia!
The design of Lumia is actually not good because the 4 corners are too sharp, and very uncomfortable/painful!
Why buy a Nokia WP7 when you can get exactly the same, including the hacked Nokia Drive and Nokia Music..., from any other WP7-manufacturer, especially when Nokia is more expensive?
If Nokia had chosen Android then they could have made many real customizations by adding the N9 Harmattan skin on every Nokia-Android! Nokia do not seem to understand that most buyers do not want WP7 on their phones!

According to Orange Lumia 800 is the most pre-ordered Nokia model ever, which would hardly mean bad sales. Also one operator in the Netherlands sold out in one day the first batch they got. If you look at Phone House in France you can also see that Lumia 800 is hugely popular. I would say Nokia will sell 2-3 million Lumia 800 phones in Q4. In case sales will be poor in the markets it has now launched in then they will simply increase the number of markets it will be sold in a quicker pace, thus sell all the units they have manufactured in the last quarter.

I think we all agree Nokia lost the plot just after the N95,that was thier last decent handset they produced, they held onto symbian for too long, sorry Nokia the likes of Samsung rule the roost now

Elop looks like a total mong but seriously, if you just ship 500, 000 and your target is 2 million, you're never going to reach that number... I'd get the Lumia 800 over the N9 but I can't buy a phone for another year so I'll have to wait till something even better is released late next year.
