Why not make all of the flat screens? If there was a ebenfit to the curved ones then sure, but there isn't. Only downsides. So time to stop with them and not just on one version of S10, but all of them.

Judging by the renders of the mid rangers, Sony coming back to it and it's a possibility that we find the side FPS on the flagships as well.
Sony was the creator of that Idea and the USA wanted to charge Sony for no reason and it was right that Sony didn't pay.
Because when Sony was doing it, they have a patent in their country that they can use it globally.
Sony is really a master but the issue is that they don't market and show themselves to the world how are they better than the competition and the media didn't give Sony the right on the side FPS but now they will cheer for Samsung and others for doing it.
Unfortunately the media and the people are prejudice to Sony

A flat display is always better than a curved display, no annoying reflections...!
In-display ultra sonic fingerprint scanner will probably be very expensive, and less reliable/fast... as a "normal" fingerprint scanner.

Samsung!, step away from the Notch!
Even having a centralised U waterdrop micro notch is better than an inset O punched through the screen.
IMO the O is a P.R. marketing gimmick to claim that they have have a notchless, bezel-less display.
No notch is best, having no notch is a U.S.P. nowadays, if Samsung isn't ready with the underscreen camera, then no problem stick with the minimized top & bottom bezels for now and make the speakers even better, that would be my preference.
If they really want to remove a bezel then remove the top one & put the centralised sefie camera on the bottom one (you can always rotate the handset 180° for selfie/ video calls).
