Abhi Dahiya, 14 Nov 2018You for sure don't know what you are talking about. This ye... moreOfcourse it is the real world performance which matters a lot. It didn't do well in the Antutu benchmark which represents real world operation. And that's what I mentioned needs to improve.

And I have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about. Maybe I was talking about the power to weight ratio of the Nissan GTR and the Veyron Supersport.

      1. Single core scores will be impressive might even beat A11.
      2. Multi core scores will be impressive for a Android device.
      3. GPU is gonna stay garbage as Samsung is going to stay with Mali.
      4. Battery will be incredible.
      5. Why 8nm instead of 7nm?
      6. No one cares about 8k recording it's purely a Gimmick.
      7. 4k 150 fps recording is great.. if it was used I bet they will stick to 4k 60 fps cap so what's the point of having 150 fps recording?

      Overall a decent upgrade.
But just start making your own GPUs like Apple... Mali belongs in Med range mobile devices not flagships and ultra premiums..

8nm how come no 7nm Samsung?!

Martin, 14 Nov 2018S10 with 8K camera?.. that would mean a camera with at least 34MP. as 8K is 7680x4320 pixels.

Shanti Dope, 14 Nov 2018You can't compare them like that. The Galaxy S8 has no RAM... moreIt doesn't make sense though. if the S835 can't do 720p@960fps... why would it be possible that they will preform 1080p@960FPS!? Surely the XZ1 and XZP has RAM chip on their sensors. otherwise this is bulls*it.
It's like showing off that you can't jump to the height of 1.5m with a stick. but surprisingly you can do 2m jump with it.

Anonymous, 14 Nov 2018The only real question - can it catch up to the Apple CPUs?they have proven with the exynos 9810 that it can beat the A10. With these ones they will beat the A11. Hopefully refining them more to beat the A12. (CLOSE TO 5000 points!)

(However, I do still agree that Samsung's SoCs are typically better than their Snapdragon counterpart on the CPYU part of things. The thing Snapdragon does best is the GPU.)

The Galaxy S8 has no RAM on its sensor like the S9 duo and Note 9 have.
Snapdragon 835 is also capable of 1080p@960fps, because the Xperia XZ Premium and XZ1 duo got the update that allows them to perform it.

Just look at this year's Exynos 9810 that also has custom cores built-in yet its disappointing because it can only do burst performance for a few minutes then start to throttle itself so it doesn't overheat.

Here's an article proving that Snapdragon 845 which has NO CUSTOM cores very much like Huawei's Kirin 980 beats Exynos 9810:

I will give practical example. Samsung S8 Exynos was capable of taking slow mo @960 fps 720p resolution but Samsung S8 with Snapdragon 835 was able to take max at 480p resolution. So at last moment Samsung decided ditch it from it.

Who cares how fast this exynos if Samsung will slow it down in few months till mid-range level. Planning obsolete is evil.

But because the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 cant do 120FPS Samsung capped the 9810 to do 60FPS 4K TOO.
