Go Nokia! It's never too late to enter competition. More competition is good for us, the consumers :)

MyName, 24 Nov 2011MicroNokia staff was forced to buy their own product? I can... moreBS. I've had an iPhone and Android and I'm way more impressed with WP7 than both OS. Most Android hardware are cheap plastic phones and the Lumia build is way better (iPhone is still arguably the best, but only just). Specs don't mean crap when it is the user experience that matters and Android is the worse when it comes to a consistent UX with non-Nexus phones usually requiring either rooting/flashing custom roms to even perform well.

Its good to see Nokia making and selling a popular phone again. WP might not be for everyone but its simplicity is appealing to some people and proof is in the numbers. I'm looking forward to windows phone 8 which should also be popular and different from IOS, Android & Symbian.

However, if the Pacific Crest analyst James Faucette is to be believed, the Lumia 800 won't be able to meet the sales targets set by its manufacturer. Previously tipped to generate over 2 million sales, the Lumia 800 will reportedly only manage a quarter of that number.
If Nokia manages to ship just 500,000 Lumia 800 units, then the company is in big trouble.
He said that they won't ship enough devices to satisfy some markets. So "maybe" he is right!

his predictions weren't that phone wouldn't sell well... He said that phone will not be a sales star because there won't be enough of them to satisfy some markets... Sorry if I've misread what you've posted few days ago

That's good news. Have been hoping for this marriage to succeed. The more the competition, the better off we are. I just bought my current phone, the Arc S, four months back, so buying a new phone right now is completely out of the question. However, I'll definitely be considering going for a Nokia WP7 device a few months down the road. It would give me a good-enough time window, too, to evaluate Nokia's success with WP7, though I am optimistic it's going to be nothing less than good.

Nokia's lying, 24 Nov 2011They are only stating whats happening in 2 markets, UK and ... moreI don't understand how Nokia has something to do with this news? Why is it so that everytime there comes positive news about Nokia, it's immediately lies and conspiracy... I don't understand what's wrong with you people. The manufacturers are only trying to provide good devices for you, the consumers. The companies will not give you anything in return even if you protect the ones you are currently using...
And hey, in France this phone was on the top spot of 50 pre-ordered phones. In your face, I guess.
